  • Just to make sure, I started from scratch by:

    1. Reinstalling Construct 2 to make sure it had standard interface setup
    2. Opening an example project to make sure it didn't have any messed up sprites

    As you can see from the screenshots, I clicked on "Edit animations" (it is not possible to select "Edit image" anymore...!?):

    <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/638423/Construct2/animationsbar1.PNG" border="0" />

    Then I got the picture editor, but without any Animations Bar:

    <img src="https://dl.dropbox.com/u/638423/Construct2/animationsbar2.PNG" border="0" />

    Very mysterious!

  • Yes, regular sprite. And the odd thing is that it was working two weeks ago.

  • I had been working on some projects before easter where I used a lot of animations on objects.

    Now, opening the same projects, I can't find the Animations Bar! Clicking on "Edit animations" opens an image in the Image Editor, but there is no way to open the Animations Bar, import strips or anything.

    I have hunted through the entire interface of Construct 2, but have found no button or toggle or anything to switch on and off the Animations Bar. <img src="smileys/smiley19.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Can anyone help?

  • Try Construct 3

  • Hi Auntie Val,

    That unfortunately sounds like something I might have done <img src="smileys/smiley9.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> .

    I'll check up on that later today.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Hi,

    As my first project I am trying to make a simple matching game.

    I have some folders on the left of the screen that have to be matched with some folders on the right. To make it easier for you to see the intended result and problem, I have marked them A,B,C and 1,2,3 etc. respectively.

    After a lot of trial and error on my own, I downloaded and modified Nimtrix' sample file from the thread "Pin to a specific position" (http://www.scirra.com/forum/topic60687_post398132.html).

    The folders snap into place when matched, but then "jump" to a different location. That is, they don't snap into the correct place! <img src="smileys/smiley18.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    You can see what I mean here:

    Hope someone can help.

    Best,

    Tore

  • Hello,

    My name is Tore and I am a Norwegian project manager/content developer for e-learning.

    I am just starting out with C2, hoping to use it to make educational games both for my job and for my kids! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Hi,

    I downloaded Nimtrix' sample file and tweaked it a little bit:

    -Added different graphics and more animation frames (from 3 to 6) for both Object and Target.

    -Added an action to move object to top of layer, to ensure that the object would land on top of the target.

    The objects snap into place when placed on the correct target. However, they for the most part snap into place in the wrong place! That is, they don't stay in place when you drop them but are snapped to a completely different part of the canvas.

    Try out this to see what I mean:

    dl.dropbox.com/u/638423/Construct2/SnapOnDropTest.capx

    A is supposed to snap onto 1, B onto 2, C onto 3 etc.

    Thanks!
