  • Thanks... I tried that. I deleted from my phone. I deleted the whole build from intel xdk and I rebuilt it. But it wont run when its exported with android/crosswalk. Should I post a screen shot of something? I this considered a construct bug?

  • Well I got a little farther... I made sure all instances of my app , called SpaceDefender for now, were uninstalled.

Then I re downloaded it and then I re installed it.

It installed and I tried to open it. I saw a crosswalk loading icon, but then it comes up and says "unfortunately space defender has stopped.

    so something is crashing..

I think I used your updated plugin at one point.. but I will try again. I also used one from here:

    (4) Name: admob

    (5) Plugin ID: com.cranberrygame.phonegap.plugin.ad.admob

    (6) Repo URL: https://github.com/cranberrygame/com.cr ... n.ad.admob

    And that didnt work either.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • OK I will try a reboot on the phone. Does the name of the plugin in Construct have to match the name of the plugin in intel xdk?

  • Yeah .. I followed those instructions to the T.. and it didnt work. I get the build from intel xdk and when I try to install it it just quits and says app not installed. If I use the old type of android with out crosswalk, it will install.

    Any ideas?

    thanks

  • Thanks Charlizzle .. I will try this when I get back to my pc with construct on it.

Looks like everything else I have done b4,. with the exception of a different path for the plugin. I have never been able to get android crosswalk to compile, hopefully it will now. do I need to add a different plugin to get crosswalk/android/intel to work?

  • I am having the same problem with adding ads in intel xdk. I used the latest version of construct with admob built in. when I export to android with crosswalk the app just crashes once its on the phone. Coda, or charlizzle ... Can you send me the link you are talking about?

    thanks.

Thanks, thats the one that I followed and it was easy to add the admob to Crosswalk. After doing this the app runs in the browser from crosswalk.

Then I did a build for android and followed the steps to include the plugin in intel xdk. This runs in the emulator (in Intel xdk). When I build it in intel xdk, the build for crosswalk option will run and provides two files. I then install on the phone and try both files and they do not work. Intel Xdk files will only work on my phone if I use the old android method. Android for Crosswalk will not run. the banners do not show when using the old Android build method. How can I trouble shoot the intel xdk builds? I am running Android 4.4.2

    thanks

  • Do you need to use both the banner id and the interid for this to work? Will it work with just the banner ID?

Also, if you create a simple banner ad in adMob is that all you have to do?

    thanks

  • I am having the same problem. Trying to build with intel xdk and using the crosswalk option will generate a file. when this file is sent to the phone it will not run. the app installs, but crashes as soon as it opens. I am using a Samsung Note 3, android 4.4.2. And Crosswalk 184.

  • Yeah bud, I have to agree with alvarop. It will be hard to get someone to buy this for $5. Maybe have ads in it and take out the ads if they pay. Or have a couple free levels and then they have to pay for the full ad free version.

    good luck

  • OK I am new to this sorry I did not include the .capx . I just paid and downloaded last week, so I dont know how I have a old build. I will check into updating.

  • First of all I have windows 7 pro, SP 1.

I am running construct 2 release 178 64 bit version.

I am adding a sprite and then add the bullet behavior to this sprite.

Then the bullet behavior attributes do not appear on the left.

I have done this before and it worked. Some times I need to save and try it again.

Or I change to another sprite and come back and it works.

This time I closed construct and reopened and nothing.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks

  • Hello .. Just getting into this Construct 2 thing. So far I love it. I tried some other java script related HTML 5 game Dev tools out there, but so far this one is the fastest. I am working on a space ship shooter game and hope to have it ready to post soon.

  • I checked it out a bit, pretty nice game. thanks for the advice, I will give that a try.

  • I had the same problem with Android 4.2.2, when using the first Android build option. I then changed and used the old build method, the one in the second row, and I was able to run the game with sound.
