  • Great, informative thread.

  • Based on the topic name, I couldn't decide first that you're being sarcastic or not

  • Nice art. Looking forward to your game.

  • No, you'll need a license to export to Android (using 3rd party to build your APK), and to monetize your game in any way (including ads).

  • Welcome here

  • I'd recommend making a webpage in HTML and echance it with HTML5 modules made with C2. Such as an interactive (or animated) logo, etc..

  • As a web designer, I'd say that the "search engines won't work well or at all" is the biggest problem.

  • An update has been released. Here's the changelog:

    Version 1.0.1

    • Fixed a bug that let the player align a shot while the game was paused.
    • Added 2 new background music.
    • The main menu now displays the player's last score.

  • Starred it.

  • Good 2d engine is better than medium 2d-3d.

    I agree.

Anyone what really C3 will have? 3D objects? Full mmo game editor, own 'spriter' ?

C3 will have full 3D support, life realistic physics engine and VR support. The games made with it will run with 120FPS that you can see on a 60hz monitor, also it supports 16k resolution games. The performance won't be a problem either, because 3D games with 4k textures will run on your washing machine too. Making games with it will be as easy as blinking and it will be completely free. <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink">

I guess that's what a lot users want. But for seriously answering your question: No, it will be 2D, just like C2. We don't know much about it yet, but it will be mainly an editor upgrade to the current one, supporting Windows, Linux and Mac. We're hoping for modularity. Also it will be compatible with C2 projects. Check out the offical landing page: https://www.construct3.com/

  • The steam submission fee is $100. http://steamcommunity.com/workshop/about/?appid=765&section=faq

It's true. It's a one time fee and it doesn't ensure your games will be on Steam. They have to be greenlit first. If you have a serious project to show to the gamers, I suggest you put it up there and ask for the community's feedback (you don't put up the actual game, just concepts, screenshots, etc..).

  • I use Dropbox for more than 5 years now and it never let me down. Today Google Drive and OneDrive could be better alternatives because of the amount of freely given online storage space.
