  • I'm looking for a plug in similar to the jquery-free-transform https://github.com/gthmb/jquery-free-transform

Nothing so far - any ideas? I'd rather not make it myself <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="Wink">

  • Try Construct 3

  • Any others experienced crashes when quitting a game that was startet from your home screen? Most likely a Safari bug - I've had the same problem on iPod 5 and iPad 2 and 3 - they freez totally and doesn't respond to anything. A reboot is the only option. It happens quite often, but I never if you enter the game via Safari directly (typing the address) (!)

Here's one of my games that produces the crash, try adding it to your iPad/iPod/iPhone home screen, start it from there, and then quit it by pressing the iPhone home button. http://nrksuper.no/duper/html5spill/akrobat/

Sorry for not following the guide on how to report bugs, for now I just want to know if others have had similar problems. If so I will dive into the problem and try to reproduce it with a smaller file.

  • What Schoening said, you have to have a flag to check if touched for the first time (Madonna style ;D)

  • Looks like it's still a bug in R155..?

  • Touch object's Compare orientation doesn't work on Windows Phone 8. (I've only tested in the native browser (IE?) on Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone 8.0.10328.78)

    Here's a test.

    Link to .capx file (required!):

    gamma.capx

    Steps to reproduce:

    1. Add touch object

    2. Add text field

    3. Set text to Touch.compareOrientation

    Observed result:

    No changes

    Expected result:

    Changes

    Browsers affected:

    Chrome: no

    Firefox: no

Internet Explorer: yes (the IE-version that's the native browser of Win Phone 8)

    Operating system & service pack:

    Construct 2 version:

    Beta r151.2

  • I considered it a IE bug since it's IE specific.

    Thanks anyway.

  • When calling the log method of the browser object in IE and NOT having your console open crashes IE. It can easily be fixed by putting console.log inside a try/catch. Please, Scirra:)

    Browser.Log.capx

  • It looks like a webGL issue in Firefox and Chrome. When "enable webGL" is off it works fine, and when it's on the bug occurs quite often, especially in Firefox.

I had a similar problem with "Load image from URL", it often just showed a black box instead of the image when it was webGL enabled.

  • Yup, big trouble on Retina - on both iPad 2 and (the-new-one-that-Apple-won't-call) iPad 3.

  • Stevo: I tried it, but it didn't solve the problem. My guess is that it's registrating a mouse click in addition to the touch event.. (Whaat?!)

I'll test a little more and get back to you.

Schoening: Yes, I guess that's the only way to make it work.

    Thanks both for your tips!

I've done a little more testing and it turns out it's browser specific. Both Chrome and Firefox works as expected on the same Samsung tablet, leaving the pre-installed browser to blame.

Motorola Xoom with Android 4.0.3 also triggers events twice.

    These tablets only triggers once:

Samsung Galaxy Tab - Android 2.3.3

Google Nexus - Android 4.1 (Chrome browser pre-installed)

    Asus Transformers - Android 4.0.3 - AppleWebKit/534.30 Safari/534.30

  • Touch object with "Use mouse input" set to "yes" triggers twice on my Samsung. Bug or feature?;)

Tested on a Samsung Tab 2 10.1 with Android 4.0.4. in the pre-installed browser.

    Here's the capx:

    touchFiresTwiceOnAndroid.capx

And here's a direct link to a published version:

index.html (the textfield should increase by 1 on every touch of the square)

I would really appreciate it if you guys could test it on your Samsung/Android device and post a feedback:) Or know what's causing this. Or have a solution/workaround:)

  • Yes, that did the trick! Thanks Ashley.

  • In this capx I'm trying to take a snapshot of the canvas, but I can't get it to work... The "on canvas snapshot" event is never trigged it seems.

Could it be a r101 issue? I'm pretty sure I tried the feature when it was released, and it worked fine then.

  • Of course... Sorry for posting "bugs" all the time;)

  • Looks like set CSS style > "font-size" doesn't affect the TextBox object at all. "color" and "border" does.

    Example:
