  • Ok so before I even knew about construct 2 I always loved playing flash games,

    I just uploaded my own game to kongregate there ( kongregate.com/games/GeneratorX323/tech-snake ) :P

    Anyway lol thats the first time I've been on that site in years and just noticed they have my 3 favorite games of all time in the top 3 highest ranked games :)

    I played the sh*t of of they games and it was fantastic, I urge anyone learning construct 2 too play those games.

    BUT... got to say my all time favorite game & most time played was on miniclips ' 8ball pool multiplayer ' man that game was an addiction, its all down to skill & time served lol

  • If u want a sprite to follow a winding road like kingdom rush (fantastic game btw) try using both turret and bullet behaviors for that sprite, also you can set a point in the road for it to go to, then once it hits that point state the next point, plus you can add lots of events & actions for the sprite while its on its route around all your points. :)

  • Hello everyone,

    Im in the mids of making a snake clone game and im having a problem with how to add a body section in a line behind the snake when food is collected,

    I want the snake body parts to get pinned to the previous one an so on getting pulled along rope style,

    does anyone have an easy solution? ie, a loop or instance equation, or something more easy?

  • I wanted a nice dark theme to use:

    Just save it as a .xml file and put it in your construct 2 themes folder to use.

    I suggest using the office 2007 dark theme built in to construct 2 as well to accompany it.

    Good colour scheme, the groups would be better a light grey and the add event text needs to be lighter, other than that a nice theme which is easy on thee auld eyeballs

    I have my pc connected to my tv and white backgrounds in applications are exceedingly bright :P

  • I agree, I used to make themes for windows 7 and my biggest pet hate was people who never kept the same 'theme' all-throughout the visual style,

    With construct 2 its very easy to keep the theme consistent as you can copy or clone objects or refer back to an other UI layout,

    The UI graphics are a very big point in a game,

    usability, easeness, emotional effect 'if its complicated then the emotion most used is anger' lol

  • If your using the turret behavior then you can add certain targets to each turret,

    on start of layout - 'tower1' add turret target 'enemy1'

    and you can set bullet speed, rate of fire, predictive aim etc,

    it will be more precise but aznmonkeyboy answer is the easiest :)

    so then this would be only site with your gravatar so then you'd be defining yourself here not elsewhere

    just upload the custom pic you want to the gravatar after registering.

    im not signing up to a site just for a pic :P lol

    That looks more like a purple to me.

    Anyway when you think about it Gravitar is actually a time saver.

    I have accounts with other forums that use it, and now if I want to change my avatar I just do it in one place.

    Besides the way they set things up is actually kind of cool.

    They use your email hashed as an identifier. That way anybody can use the system free of charge.

    yes I know what your saying, but I dont really want to sync my avatars, I use different avatars fors sites, like a sound editing site im on,

    its me with dr dres headphones on, or a win 7 theme site its me with a paint brush on my head lol

  • Yeah looks like a good game character :)

    but I agree with mineet, needs a few frames inbetween each leg movement, also would look cool if you made his jaw shut slightly and the pines on his back move back n forth slightly, 8 frames max - then do it so C2 plays it ping ping :) 'back n forth' looping animation :)
