    Hello Paradine.

    I'm interested on buying this tool if is useful to create a game mechanic such as the one on "Where's my water".

    I'd like to erase parts of the ground while i'm holding the mouse or touching the screen. Is it possible and optimized enough to get this?

  • Oh sorry, I'm sure this is the problem for me too. Is just I couldn't reproduce the error in a smaller capx, because the error is not present in my attempts to find it. But there's also no reason to be working fine in previous releases (I made the thread but it died there because I couldn't get the example capx for you)

    And by "flickering" I mean that the character start jumping a little bit at different speeds everytime I land on a platform, that's why it looks like flickering (or maybe I'm misusing the word). Aaaand, I'm sure that I'm on the right thread beacuse the problem almost got solved with the runtime.js, it just was less frequent. For now, I can work on r108.2 and is perfect :)

  • I tryied the runtime.js and improves the flickering issue but doesn�t solve it completely.

    The only solution for me is to work on version r108.2

  • Yes that is, I've been disconnected to Construct for a while but I'm going to be checking that thread, good to know I'm not the only one with the issue :)

  • ummm sorry, I've been trying to reproduce it but the bug is not present in a "lite" version of the game, it must be something in my events but I don't understand why it works in version r108 or earlier...

    Thanks anyway, I'll just live with it hehe

  • Hello.

    When I upgrade my project from the r108.2 to the r114 version, my platform character broke. Everytime I jump and falls or is colliding with the floor, the character starts to jump and flicker like it is bouncing rapidly on the floor. And this happened to every backed up version I tryied, even with the r115 beta.

    To solve the issue I just used a backed up version on the r108.2 and unistalled the r114. Now I have to install and unistall the r114 dependeing on the project I work on :/

    I can't share the project or a part of it, but I'll upload a video as soon as possible, I hope it helps.

    Great behavior! but for some reason if I change the RGB for a sprite, it only changes for one animation, is there any workaround??

    And the Tint doesn't seem to do anything on my Sprite :/

  • Hi, I was wondering if I could NOT affect some sprite, so I could place an animated Pause flashing while the game is paused (aesthetic only).

    I know it affects all the game timescale, but I was just wondering jeje

    I'm trying to achieve the enemy attack on the player and viceversa, but I haven't been able to do it correctly. If this this is your example would you mind posting a capx, or maybe point in the right direction?

    I'm having some problems when the NPCs are wandering, they happen to step on the tiles that are supossed to have rigid behavior (I know the tiles work fine beacause my player collides with them) and on you Adventre capx example, I can't find anything else about this :/

  • Umm. I have another question.

    I'm using my mouse to move around my character and the enemies are wandering around the map, now I want them to attack me but I ca'nt do it right. I placed a bigger sprite above them to use it as a collision to detect when my player is near the enemy and it kind works but the subtraction of my player health is linked to the wander timer.

    Any recommendation for this?

  • Okay, I finally understood the whole thing, I'm going to explain it if anybody else, like me, had trouble with it...

    I made my .TMX withe Tiled Map editor and in the Tileset editor on the bottom right, I rightclicked every tile and set a propoertie named "solid" with value 0 and value 1 for the things I want to have collision.

    In C2 I created a new Sprite the size of my tile and added the tile sheet I used for the tiled map as an sprite strip animation.

    Then created the events as Rex's examples an there I had it :) . . . at first was difficult to understand haha.

  • Yes, I know Rex and the part that really was confusing was the number 2- for my first post... Is beacuse I got the text on notepad but there�s nothing similiar to yours at this part:

    The order, I find this labels:

       <properties>

        <property name='solid' value='1'/>

       </properties>

    </tile>

    <tile id='1'>

       <properties>

        <property name='solid' value='1'/>

       </properties>

    So, my question was if you wrote yourself or was in your .tmx text already?

    and the other question was:

    3- There is a sprite named Tile that has all the tileset images inside as animation frames �Where did you get this sprite or how can I make it?

    PS. I've also read the first post, I don't like to ask anoyingly without even reading the whole thread, is just that I don�t really understand about those things I ask :/

  • ummm but I don't know how to export or get that String from the Tiled map editor program... is ther an option?? (As I said, I saved my map as the regular .tmx and openned that file with the notebook, but I'm not sure if that's what i should do)
