    Yes, gmeplay is still very crude. I still need to give some value to the mechanics, and I'm fighting with issues that prevent some things to work properly (noticed the ONLY ceiling laser?, I'm working on that).

    I'm focused on solving these issues, but progress will be slow. At least for now.

    Here's my little project I've been working on, using Construct Classic. After some touches here and there I've finally came up with what can barely be considered a first playable.

    There's still a lot of issues that need to be resolved. Some mechanics are not really final and some need some work to make them interesting to use (hiding, shield), but you can try the basic feeling of the game.

    Still, I don't understand why some actions like Wait produce this instancing issue. Is this a bug, or there's some obscure logic behind it?

  • I've found that when I put a Wait action in an object that has multiple instances in a layout, I start to have problems with the instancing itself.

    for example:

    -on colision with the player, object1 spawns object2. -this works with the specific instance of object1.

    -Then I put a Wait so that object2 is spawned after X milisecs.

    -When I try the game, the player collides with an instance of object1 and then all object1 in the layout spawn object2 simultaneously.

    Anyone have had this issue? Is there something I'm doing wrong?

    Any help will be apreciated.

    One more week and I'll upload a demo. Still a lot of work to be done, but at a good point to get some feedback.

  • Well, I could make an .exe, and it's playable, but still has a lot of glitches. A couple of weeks of work (I don't have too much time for this), and I'll post something to look at.

  • Hello, guys!

    My name is Humberto, I'm from Chile, and I discovered Construct some months ago.

    I've allways trying to make a game, and I've tried different programs, but it's allways a lot of effort.

    But this wonderful piece of software makes things so easy that when I started trying it out, I couldn't stop pushing forward.

    As a result, I came up with this game, still in progress, but going very well.

    Retro style, but taking some liberties if I see fit.

    I hope to put a demo soon.

    To the Construct Dev team: You guys rock!

    the game is basically an action platformer.

    The player is a guy with a lance capable of replicate the shots of the enemies.

    there are three enemies at the moment, but they need some work on their behaviors. I'll add two or three more.

    Mechanics implemented: powerups, shield, hiding ability, walljump, elevators, and some more to come...
