  • I played around for couple of days with C3 and at this point its not even close to C2. It feels like this is a very first version and Scirra just starting to create an engine. I meean look at Buildbox or New Game Maker those are really next gen engines and a big step forward from their previous versions. I am beta testing Buildbox 3.0 and just wow 3D support, nodes etc. So I dont get it why you re-invented C2 in web version rather then creating C3.

    You could face lift C2 add proper export and Mac support and you are golden.

  • Since yesterday I´m running my two principal game dev projects (AscDungeon and OrcLeader) in C3 and my first thoughts are:

    - It´s a Tech demo IMHO, with a lot of restrictions, or unfinished resources. Really, I´m C2 heavy user, and I´m really dissapointed with this version. More restrictive free version, and a lot of dev friends are pissed off.

    - Didn´t like the "browser version" (pop-up windows sux). I´m not run my C3 in mobile devices, I have a big screen and love it.

    - Crash 2 times when I running in a slow internet connection (I tested for see what happens)

    - I lost a lot of things when when I pressed back button in my Iphone.

    It´s very negative in a first momment. I´m really waiting the next weeks...

    I agree, But. Give it another 6 or 12 month and it will be getting closer to current C2 level But Anyway sarcasm off, its just needs more time. Its pretty much Alpha testing. I would not even consider to make serious project in C3, at this stage.

    As for the Browser, well if it works I dont care if its browser or not but seems this will bring so many issues cause of the Chrome wrapper. Actually is there any other engine like this that uses Browser ? If not maybe there is a reason for this, and thats why all big players on market have Stand Alone Versions for Mac and PC.

    Some help pls

    I am working on Infinity Runner and I am trying to spawn random obstacle. Lets say I have 3 different Obstacle Object and I want them to spawn randomly but I also want them to have a Fixed GAP between each other so they dont over lap. Is it possible to make it something like this.

    If I have a pool with obstacles objects and each obj will have its own ID, then randomly one of 3 objects will be pulled from the pool?

  • I am trying to Spawn / Create randomly a Family with 3 Objects inside.

    Here is the screen shot. If I create a single object like this lets say a apple.png it works fine but if I use Families its not. Is it even possible to create Spawn Families?

    100€ per year is not much at all if you ask me. If you get professional tool with constent updates and healthy community for support its a fair price in my opinion. Plus dont rush, there is still time and who knows what scirra will be reavealing in the near feature. BB engine charges 99€ per month and trust me its not even close to construct 2.

  • I was searching a lot today for detailed endless runner tutor but no luck. Found some but they are all pretty much in spanish, chinese. Can someone suggest a good one?

    As for the BuidlerBox, I used that soft and its cool and all, BUT! Its pretty buggy and its extremely limited. In that sense construct ofc offers much more freedom and you can do more advanced games with it. Rather then BB is just a playground, at-least for now. And its Over Priced for sure.

    How long is your fade? Is it on the bee?

    Are you trying to make it work like i suggested?

    Move the poof up, under the bee > destroy.

    If I Move under the Bee, before Destroy nothing happens. Bee gets destroyed but no animation is playing.

    Fade is inside the Bee Behavior. Wait time is zero and Fade Time is 1.

  • This is what I have, not sure what I am doing wrong, but with this Animation not working. I used Fade instead of Destroy, and with fade it was kind working but with animation in same container.

  • So the bee flies around? When does the 'poof' animation play? When the bee lands on something or when the bee is destroyed?

    When the Bee is Destroyed.

  • I have small issue with one animation that triggers when player jumps on top of Enemy.

    So I have a Bee (Enemy) and inside that Bee I have animation called "Poof", so the "Poof" FX itself 120x120px but the Bee is scaled to 60x60px. So when I play this "Poof" this animation becomes also 60x60px how do I increase the size of this FX without increasing the size of the Bee?
