  • Yeah I'm in the same boat. I get REQUIRED RESOURCE WAS UNAVAILABLE, and then the system locks up.

    Has anyone been able too provide a sample capx of this error to scirra?

    I may provide mine but I will have too add censor blocks to all my sprites (due to NDA) which would take forever.

    Hi I have the same exact problem when my project starts to get large. I think its the number and variety of sprites.

    I was told to upgrade my graphics card, but that is an expensive solution

    One thing that may help is to go to File/Preferences/Misc and remove the tick from 'cache icons in editor for better performance'. But it only helps a little.

    Please let me know if you learn more about this...

    Also make sure your current graphic card is upto date.

  • No I can't test it on any other system. What GPU would you recommend? I mainly use Photoshop, C2, illustrator, and moderate gaming. Please be specific as I may consider buying a new one, thanks. Would this work

    I'm getting a frustrating crash where the program locks up. Windows will not appear and occasionally a dialog with "unexpected resource" shows up. This happens a lot when I attempt to add code. Is there a crash log somewhere I could look at?

    I'm making an epic PC plat-former so My capx file is rather large 152 mb and I'm working on it as a caproj.

    download is 106 mem usage is 115. (but its for PC not the net) I have lots of sprites and am in the process of consolidating them.

    Is it just too large? (I still need to add about 100mb of content)

    Yes I know I need a sample capx to submit a bug report in the other forum, which I will provide but I was hoping to get some information first before I go through that. (if you want just take a 256 sprite and clone it about 200 hundred times and you may get the error)(update I did this and it did not crash)

    I'm using a steam personal version, can the business one handle more?

    I updated my graphics card and am using windows 10

    my pc specs are

    intel core 15-2400

    6 gb ram

    64 bit os

    Hi I'm having an issue with my instance variables for some reason they seem to be happening to all the sprite instances instead of one at a time.

    It happens on fire, and when they are destroyed. You can see it in the sample capx below. I want each sprite to die or fire on an individual bases, which I thought was the point of instance variables.

  • Cool, link man.

    I tested the camera on restart layout and it worked, I'm still having issues with restart layout but I'm pretty sure its not magicam, its my code.

    As far as new features for magicam, it would be cool if you could constrain the camera to a path for awhile for cut scenes.

    From the file I sent if you die, by falling of the edge of the playable area, the layout restarts, but the magicam no longer follows the character when the layout restarts. That's the problem I'm having.
