  • Hi gr33n, thanks for your reply. Art-wise we're looking for more sophisticated art at a much higher level. However, programming-wise we can't know as your game link doesn't seem to be working.

    Thanks,

  • The Game

Faded World Episode, from our to-be established Aeon Chronicles series, is a 2D side-scroller with platformer elements, puzzle solving, combo-based action combat and dynamic story events, set in a black and white world, with colored main characters. It is a thought-provoking journey through the universe’s conundrums, accompanied by over 2000 years of lore as the foundation of a black and white fantasy world with amazing detail, enveloped in a mysterious sci-fi universe.

    Development

Currently working on a playable alpha, launching a Square Enix Pre-Campaign this month and a crowdfunding campaign sometime after. Weekly tasks in a results-based environment. Our schedule is pretty flexible, but it's a priority for everyone. Being a big project, we can't wait to bring it to life, piece by piece. Being a 0$ budget team, from nothing we've come to create something quite amazing which we'll show in the months ahead.

We've also grown into a friendly and tight team considering just 6 months ago we had no idea about the existence of each other. We began as Cat in a Hat team and slowly turned into something with a clear vision of what we're aiming for with Aeon Chronicles. Not just a develop and drop game, but an ongoing series and start-up to CreaByte Studios.

    The available positions

    Artist

Looking for a dedicated character artist, who will be tasked with the concept and the design of characters. Should be aware of the need for the design to be on a limb-by-limb structure for easy implementation into the Spriter software. Should fit our art-style or at least be able to adapt almost seamlessly. If you contact us please include a portfolio of sorts.

    Programmer

Looking for a dedicated character programmer, tasked with programming everything character-oriented, from basic programmable animations to character game-systems. Should be comfortable with C2's Spriter plugin. Will be working alongside our Level and all-around programmer.

  • Hey all,

    I'm Tibs from CiaHTeam

Cat in a Hat is in need of an animator for our first big title, Aeon Chronicles: Faded World Episode.

    Website: AeonChronicles. net (remove spaces)

We need a 2D animator who can work on animating some character sprites and some level assets(experience with Spriter from Brashmonkey is a plus, but not required. Pro License for Spriter NOT needed).

Aeon Chronicles is a big project, we're a team of 9(currently), working for love of this project, meaning this is an unpaid position, although revenue post-launch will be split. Besides being our first big title as a full team, it'll also serve as a startup for our game studio, so future collaboration is certain if desired.

We work in a results-based environment, and on a week-to-week basis(depending on the scale of the current task of course). This is a project we're all very passionate about and looking for one more to add to the family

Leave a comment below, or contact directly to catinahatstudios@ gmail .com (remove spaces again) We'll answer promptly

PS: Apologies for the sizing issues, just right click, save URL and paste it in a new tab to see the images. Thanks!

  • Hey all!

We're Cat in a Hat Studios(not yet registered) and we're looking for a couple of members to expand our team. These are currently non-paid positions, but will be offered a % of revenue after the release of the game as well as opportunities in future collaborations with CiaHStudios. Furthermore, this is not a full-time project but it is one we all see as a priority, thus we expect rapid pacing(weekly progress deadlines).

    Development Stage

Currently, we're starting to animate some characters and a section of our first level to show off in some alpha footage. We're looking to build up to a campaign with Indiegogo which will hopefully finance further needs.

We're aiming for retail-based distribution through various platforms, such as Steam and Desura. Also aiming for the following target systems: PC, MAC, with possible Android Port.

    About the game

2D story-driven fast-action-paced, puzzle-solving side-scroller with platformer elements, in black and white tones.

Color Chronicles: Faded World Episode is the first episode of a High-Fantasy world boasting over 2000 years of lore. We're looking to tell a great story and give an experience, and possibly expand on it down the line. The lore is specific to this one world, but the Color Chronicles is set in a sci-fi Universe, giving us the opportunity to go in whatever genre direction we want.

We've also started planning the Indiegogo campaign, with various elements of it being intertwined with how expansive our lore is(and may become). This has something to do with our under-development Perks Program.

Everything about the game is currently under heavy-development, but you can check our website(own domain soon) for details we've released about the game so far(The project page will be receiving a revamp in the coming days with new material):

    What we need from you

    We're looking for:

    • Asset Designer(Artist + Animator), tasked mainly with Level-oriented assets design.

If interested, leave a reply below and we'll contact you privately

  • Thanks for the input.

As stated we've reached out to several websites, including GDevelop's, and we've been getting responses.

As for the website, yes, getting a custom domain is something we're looking at, but just because it's free doesn't mean we're not serious about it.

I'd rather send an email and ask the project lead to tell me what it's about, what I can do to help, what experience and what they've done so far and then judge whether or not I'll be investing my time and experience in them. I guess I understand what you're saying though, but we're just rooting for common sense.

We also aim to register our studio sometime soon.

    Thanks again!

  • GDevelop's system is very similar to Consctruct's, thus we decided to check other sources for possible members.

We're all 21+ with some being 30+, why exactly?

    Additional Info

This is a long-term project, one we'd like to see from beginning to end(release) and even beyond. We're looking to complete a project, but also start CiaHStudios as an indie studio with fixed members.

    Description

    About us

We're a newly founded virtual indie game development studio developing our first game, with members from different countries but highly communicative between each other.

This is something we are serious about and look at as a priority. We have a long-term development schedule, as well as a weekly schedule to keep things up to date.

We're looking for people with a passion about not only playing games, but also creating them. Passion and Commitment are a must and should be what drives every member.

We embrace cross-development, meaning although we expect each member to know and do his stuff, each of our sub-teams(development areas) are open to feedback and suggestions from other members.

Cat in A Hat Studios is the gathering of several ambitious and creative people looking to show people the worlds we imagine, and then create.

We're also very friendly, a team, and we're looking to share this adventure that is CinaHStudios with each other, hopefully something that is long-lasting and that's what we're working towards.

    About Project Color

Project Color is a project that has been in the works even before the current CiaHStudios came together. We're not open to announce what Project Color is all about just YET, but we can tell you the following:

    It'll be a 2.5D action side scroller.

Each area of the game's development needs to shine, whether it is Art, Game play and stability, Story-telling, Sound, etc.

We're about half-way through our Pre-Development Phase, we're missing some concept art and sound related assets. During the Development Phase we'll then be able to start showing off some visual incentives.

Please take into account we have pretty much everything thought out already(although subject to change and subject to internal, and later on open, feedback), we just lack some talented new members to get the whole 'Steam Train' going.

    Talented Members Needed

One 2D Concept Artist and Animator

One Event-Coder - The game engine we will use will be Event Script-Oriented. Actual Coding knowledge however, is helpful, but not entirely necessary.

If Interested, check our Contact Method above.
