  • A freelance artist ususally starts at $25 and up, anything below that number and you are probably with a newbie artist or someone who really wants to compete with the old guys, in short never a good idea to devalue your work...

You should look into royalties, advances + splitting works(%), if you gave her an advance, then she will probably not get any money from the beginning - when the game is published, until you earn at least that amount back...

    It's basic negotiating...

  • yup, will have to agree with brent_hamel, it's mostly time consuming...

  • yup, when one is out, other are also getting in the game... like the software "create your own game".. every month a new program out... basically what they are doing is analyzing the content+features to see what's missing and then build upon that base up...

  • regardless where the idea came from... we will see and test all the features when both software are up and running...

  • yup, looks interesting..

  • sweet!

  • Create a cow trowing bunnies at zombies... ;))

  • I concur with "teahousemoon"... I would also struggle with just $2k per month... Some companies are employing artist for 5k and up + medical, benefits etc.., yes, even the ones who are starting...

The main reason people are going to these sites is because, they have searched the average monthly income of each country and tried to employ artist from those areas.. specially artist that have little money and little knowledge about contracts... in short, slaves.. yes, some people think only of them self's...

always 50% upfront and no cheapness.. ;)
