  • Sorry to ask the obvious, do you have a license?

That'll get the big one out the way.

Most anti virus programs have a custom firewall type bulit in. you might need to add c2 and port 50000 as an exception.

Also helps to go into your router an allocate a constant ip for your c2 pc.

and shooting in the dark, you make any edits to the host file???

  • Those specs look fine, but what is the graphics card??? <- this is the determining factor

I have it running on a 7 year old laptop with zero issues.

  • or html, so we can steal your images...

In all seriousness. The minute you let the world know you have a game and it is of some worth, then the world believes it is entitled to it. The world is full of pr*cks

Suggest you don't give the source, but rather a taste via html or better yet exe.

  • The mods are pretty good at pm'ing a warning to offenders as well as locking threads, merging topics, etc.

It could be a case of overlooking, hence there is a report button on each and every post.

If it offends you... report it,

[quote:2r6onbur] use the report button to alert a moderator to the problem and one of us will take care of it. This includes spam posts.

if it is legit reporting, then the mods will act upon it. Else, you can expect a warning and explanation as to why.

There are a few posters who get carried away with posting, and I know they have had multiple warnings, and they are generally under 15 years of age. So the mods take pity on them and are trying to train them, steer them to proper etiquette. I just block them personally, as I couldn't be bothered reading anything they have to say Add them to foe list.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Lol, haven't a clue, but possibly because preview is a premium feature, it might have multiple processes running in background???

  • Search the tutorial section - at least 3 tutorials and 3 390 results via google search.

  • Currently - I got a proline 24" (primary) and a acer 18" (secondary). These sizes just work for me.

As I said I want a third now, so probably get a samsung or another proline (had zero issues with this brand). Maybe a 27" or another 24".

Brands and models - I have no idea - lol. I favour proline and samsung.

Agreed, I care nothing for looks. I care about longevity and functionality.

I'm lucky, I get most of my pc stuff for cost thanks to my brother-in-law.

  • Personally 2x 24" for the simple reason of productivity. I used to work 1 screen (biggest I could afford), but since switching to 2 screens, I will never go back. I am even considering a 3rd now.

If you want big for testing (nothing beats your lounge Tv - currently mine is 50" samsung tv)

If you want to work. 2 screens will see you being more productive

  • Tested with Chrome

amd phenom II x6 1090T with nvidia geforce gtx 550ti

    60fps and 16.667

  • Not something anybody but scirra can answer... email them.

I brought steam license... and had so much trouble

I then upgraded to a business license here to get away from steam (Yes, it sucks large :/)

  • email support, I'm sure they could accomodate. But, please don't buy steam version, you will regret it, even if they offer a 50% discount, steam isn't worth it in my opinion.

    Why?

So many reasons, just do a search in the forums about steam vs scirra standalone

  • Is it possible to make a living playing games?

The answer is mostly no, but I know folks that make serious money doing just that.

If these guys can make money playing games, you are definitely able to make money creating them.

Bottom line, it depends entirely on you, and a bit of luck.

  • [quote:1vp8horp]Once you have redeemed your purchase from the Scirra Store, you can download your Construct 2 license, which is a file called c2license.txt. You simply need to copy this folder in to either the install directory or My Documents. Restart Construct 2 and it should launch as the licensed version: the purchaser name should appear on the start page and About dialog, Free edition should disappear from the title bar, and the free edition limits should be removed. Alternatively, you can place your license file wherever you like and locate it by clicking Load license file in the About dialog.

I used the second option and loaded the license file in the the about dialog.

    1. Put the text file somewhere you remember where it is.

    2. Click the i in the top right corner inside C2.

    3. It should say something like "open license".

    4. Go to where you saved the license, double click the license restart Construct 2 and you're done

But drop it into the install directory or load it - both work.

  • I'm afraid I can't understand exactly what you are after...

    But...

    Would for each x element

with a condition searching 0 do the trick? (as it loops it picks up first instance)

    Would for each x element

    pick nth instance

Once you locate the 0, then you can change it with your 3,5

You might have to use a local variable to keep track of where it is, and maybe pass that back into another loop to pin point.

But, a function passing params it should neaten up and simplify nicely...

But, you lost me, as I can't visualize what you are doing.

I would use 0 height, 4 deep and push data onto x

    x

    0, 0,x,y

    1, 0,x,y

    2, 1,x,y

    3, 0,x,y

    etc

    easier to search/locate/change

  • Yes you can, but that is bad programming. It is best to group things together in such a way as you can come back to it 1 year from now and now where to find it.
