  • Level one was challenging. Boss fight was neat with a nice mechanic thrown in there. Ship and boss seem nicely done. Add a little bit more such as more sounds, maybe some background music, and I'd recommend making level 1 a little bit longer and more of a learn how to play rather then a few enemies then boss fight.

  • I think it looks great!! It has a nice arcade feel to it. The videos look great as well. You did a good job on this. Keep up the good work, I think the art and sounds fit well together.

  • I would have an image point on the tank for the bomb to spawn at. Then upon pressing something such as the [spacebar] the bomb will be created. Also give it bullet movement to ensure it goes forward.

  • This game looks outstanding. Even the older screenshots look great! This reminds me of the games I played in the 80's! Which is a good thing, but with updated graphics. The HUD in the past screenshots looked outstanding. Very good work on this man!! Keep it up.

  • Can't play it due to being at work. I'm stoked that this ports over to android and can play on phones! I just got a droid powered phone this past saturday will have to give it a go. Screenshot looks nice!

  • Not to shabby! Played well on Firefox with it's latest update. I think once you release Santa from the catapult it could go a little faster. Seemed a little to slow for me. Not FPS wise or anything but wanted to hurry and see what happened so I could launch the next Santa.

I passed the first level by launching one Santa, so I guess I'm pretty good. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

This is me in Afghanistan. This is actually my happy face! <img src="smileys/smiley36.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Usually you can also contact a public relations represenative of these companies and ask them for direction when making these types of games. Some companies even frown upon fan based games, as they are affraid of it ruining there professional image.

I contacted the creators of the game "zuma" a couple years back for permission to use there graphics to make a fan based game, and a few weeks later got a positive response. They allowed me to do so for educational purposes only, and non-profit.

  • Nickydude!! Taking a break from TGC tools? <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Nice to see you here.

  • Construct 2 is genius. Mark Overmars, original developer of Game Maker messed up when he gave over most rights to YoYogames. YoYogames is all about the dollars and how much they can put in there pockets then the community they serve. Ive only had Construct 2 about a week, and have had two updates so far.

Ive been around Game Maker since its 5.0 days, its true its easy to make a game and I love the save to executable option. Other than that now YoYo wants you to pay 99$ for an HTML5 option? Are they crazy?

I also own and work with the AGK (App Game Kit) This is genius tool, and has many great options and features. Still? Stick with Construct 2, its way to easy and user friendly not too. Why program from scratch when you can just use Construct 2?

Now as a quick note. Lets go over Click Teams Multimedia Fusion 2. Which I also own. Pay 101$ for there engine. Great engine, easy to use and very powerful. Then let's pay 119$ for iOS export. Then lets pay 58$ for flash support.

So..Contruct 2 is the way to go here. I'm just sorry I haven't found it until now. Work smarter, not harder...Use Construct 2

  • Hey all, I'm Mike 32 years old Computer Science student in my 2nd year. Currently learning Java and C# in class. Java, not a good time. I've been into game development since about 2002, and never looked back. I have about every engine there ever was or is and in about 20 minutes will own Construct 2.

My main goal out of my degree and experience is to eventually get into teaching, which I believe I have a talent for as I can explain things down to the bare metal where people understand them. My tutorials have been featured in official online documents as well as official newsletters and magazines in there respective game engine departments, as my ways of explaining things let's even the beginner understand click by click.

I've been in the US Marines since 1999, so it has taken me a very long time to pursue my ultimate goal of finishing my degree in computer science. Now however I've been fortunate enough to been going for two years straight.

In closing I look forward to Construct 2, and have been following its development and community since the Classic days although I never registered, purchased or gave my two cents. However, now is the time. Good product, great community, great developers of Construct 2.

  • Not bad at all ! Would definitley fit well as an app and good time waster. I played up to around level 9. It kept me interested, and was wondering what you would come up with next.

Only thing I'd suggest would be instead of "I wonder what this does" have a level that eases the player into it, rather then the ball falling off cause I was unaware that the triangle offered some sort of gravity. At first you would explain the new things at the top of the screen, then it became a "figure it out" situation. It was fun though!

  • I wasn't a fan of Oblivion. Great voice acting, story, I didn't like how the mobs leveled up with the player, I wasn't a fan of how the armor and stats worked. Which is why I've been hesitant on Skyrim. I guess I'll just wait in the shadows for Diablo III.
