  • I love it when a bullet hits the water.Anyway here is a little demo n made.It was done with no fancy

    Mathematical events.I did this using good old reliable prerendered animations.Left click on the Water to see what happens.

  • I found this free flash games creator app.It works quite good and no programming needed.

    I haven't had time to really test this app.But the sample demo's that comes with it looks quite impressive.

  • When i try to run a game from the editor i get this "Memblock error id" and then the Program Exits.It happens at random.Most of the time the program runs fine.Ive tried it with a Different cap And even a cap with no events or sprites loaded.It looks like some kind of memory Leak.I used Winxp when i got this error.No errors on win7 thus far.

  • At your layer properties find the scroll x and y.By default they are 0%.Set X to 100%

    At your events go to System/Scroll to object.Then choose the character or player to scroll to.

  • If you are using 0.99.97 you could use the Add/Remove Attribute action to enable/disable "Solid" or "Platform".

    How does that work?.Can a attribute be disabled/enabled during gameplay?.Ah now i see very nice feature indeed.

  • You could try to switch the collision modes for the standing platforms to off when the character is upside down.And when he is right side up then switch it back on again.

  • Here's the 1st update,It's not the full game (only 2 workable stages and the third stage which was wip).The full retron game is huge , 150 megs in size so i will post that later "capped internet ".

    I made various caps as i progressed from stage to stage.So i will release more and reveal more of the game soon.It's not easy working as a one man show lol.

  • Well knowing how to program a game only counts when you want a job with a big games company.Or if you plan to make wii,xbox360 or ps3 games with thier dev kits.With Indie gaming it does not matter what behaviors you use or what app is used , As long as the game is good then most people won't care how the game was made.

    Ask any gamer if they care about what dev kits were used in a game and they will just say um i don't care.The same goes for behaviors.Well i certainly don't care what the devs used to make gears of war for instance.I didn't even know UDK existed until i got it from one of my friends.

    And as for the guys at game maker downgrading game devs, They are just a bunch of green jealous goblins.Yeah thats what they should be called green goblins right next to the trolls.

  • Go to the addons thread here at the forums where the plugins are.You will see those files marked [EFFECT].If you download one of those plugins then they usually go into your effects folder within construct's folders.You will notice that there's also a folder named transitions,Thats where all the fx files are to create or modify existing transitions.They can be created using your standard notepad app just rename the extension from .txt to .fx

  • The transitions aren't broken.And the transition files are done with .fx files so creating some of your own would not be a problem.
