  • I'm sure the problem is with the browser because in mobile , the game saves just fine ...

    Anyone has encountered this issue before, and is there a chance that i might have accidentally changed some

    setting in construct 2 that prevents it from storing data in browsers ?

    APK on google play had to search a bit now i realise he had it attached to signature.

    Unknown Dino Developer items on gplay i remembered that when i searched it.

    Donald Cela why the Ridiculous title name? i seen some similar games lately... is that a google word trending now or something?

    Because there existed already a game with the title "Football Dribbling" so i was thinking for some time for a specific feature that could make a difference so i thought of the comic side of my game , from the weird hairstyles , characters , balls and pets that can be unlocked, and also the witty Coach commenting .

    But maybe you're right about the google trending thing , i know of "ridiculous fishing" and probably many other games with that word on the title ... so in the end it is just that i had no better idea really !

  • I believe it is fully possible but you have to read a bit more about random generation , so all the different parts (moules) fit with each other .

    Try to find any article about randomization on scirra forums or else were ... than you can use variables or arrays and randomize the numbers (but i haven't tried anything more than randomly positioning obstacles in my game until now so this is all i really know

  • Probably you need an online server to store your data so that the player can retrieve it and display it as text ...

    Sorry for asking , why do you need to tell the player the game completion remotely ? It seems like a lot of work to do :p

  • 1 If you have already created different maps in different layouts than just open from the menu or start screen (layout) to the layout you want the player to go ...

    2 In case you have created your maps in the same layout just set the layer in that layout and set the location of the character in the map you want to ( bu changing its coordinates x,y) .

    3 In the case you generate randomized maps than all you need , is to go to the layout where you create your generated/randomized maps .

  • should have searched a bit longer on the forums ... i found what i think is the answer from Ashley

    ...actually, you should be able to change the name of things and it will still work, since it doesn't save data by the names of items, it uses a hidden unique ID instead (so you can rename everything and it still knows where to load data).

    If you add any new object types obviously they won't have any saved data, and if you delete object types then it won't load any thing saved for them. Similarly if you add layers or remove them etc. you might lose data, but if you don't make any such substantial structural changes it should keep loading just fine.

  • Basically , in a case where the player has already played a version of the game and the game has saved data using local storage plugin ...

    If i release a new version of my game on google play and the player updates to the newest version , does the previously data saved in the device get (erased / not used) or does it stay the same and viable ?
