  • I suppose I should add a short description of what groups are and how to use them.

  • That is a really sweet effect. Awesome job

  • Winner sets theme next.... sunday?

Are you sure? Having it once a week was probably the main reason why people got tired of it last time. Maybe every two weeks would be better? Just an idea, I suppose folks should say what they think about the matter.

  • Oops, I guess I was wrong

  • Not for invisible objects. I'm pretty sure, anyway, since if it's marked invisible then it's not processed by the GPU.

But for visible objects that have 0 opacity, yes they are.

  • As far as I know, it won't work that way. Families and objects are on a separate level as far as the Selected Object List goes. To get the benefit of containers, you need to pick an actual object in the container. If you pick by family, then there is no container attached to the family itself.

Run this in 0.99.3 to see what it's supposed to do, then run it in 0.99.4 to see the difference. A hotfix on this would be super-swell (that is, if it's easy to do and stuff...)

LOS workaround is to set from 360 angle range to 361 nad it will see all around.

Yep, it seems there is an easy workaround for this. And apparently the issue is that if the angle difference between the two objects is exactly 180 then that's where the problem occurs. As Doppel pointed out in chat, if you flip the eye around 180 then the problem happens on the right side instead of the left.

Anyway, the 361 fix should work for now

  • So now there's the problem of me having possibly hundreds of Walls that I have to check LOS on. I was kind of expecting the "Has LOS to" condition would've picked the object in LOS..

Yeah, it appears that the sight-ee isn't put in the Selected Object List, only the sight-er. You need another condition to pick the sight-ee.

And if you do plan on using LOS for this, then I suggest cutting down on the number of objects to check LOS on. If you keep the Range setting on the LOS small then you should be okay.

  • So when's the next build?

  • Very cool

But yeah, I see the bug that Gen is talking about. It looks like if it drops frame the markers can leave the track. Still, that should be fixable with events. Anyway, this is a pretty sweet example
