  • This isn't a paid offer, the game will not be for sale. We're looking for team members for a Construct 2 game project already in the making. New or experienced, programmer or artist, it doesn't matter, get in contact with us. Pic related.

  • The Taker is a 2D side-view stealth game where you're playing as a burglar, breaking into people's homes and stealing things from them. It plays with a keyboard and mouse and is available for Windows/Mac/Linux.

The progression in favor of "buy" increases more faster

Is a fact to think about.. no?

Again, this question is about whether people would prefer the pay model over the subscription. Nobody asked them if they would actually buy it OR if they would actually subscribe. For all you know, everyone who voted for the buy model would also subscribe if it were the only option. It's highly unlikely, and I'm not saying that it's true, I'm just pointing out how stupid and pointless this thread is, since it doesn't show what the people actually would pay for, just what they would prefer.

  • Yeah the mobile friendly thing is the biggest issue with it, I wanted to make it as dynamic as possible, but I got tired and also it would be like four times this much code just to get all the content to resize properly. So yes, this is only for desktops and tablets, but a really light website for those with just ~412kb in size. I'm willing to trade that. Also, the SEO thing wasn't really important to me as my websites usually don't get much attention anyway, and don't get featured on Google. I don't really know how to do anything about it automatically from Construct 2, the best option would be editing the HTML file, but you can really only do that manually. But if you know how to do it, please feel free to tell me.

    Thanks for the feedback

  • Hi,

I made a really lightweight, customizable landing page in Construct 2.

It's completely open-source, and you can download it over at the GitHub page.

You can also try out a demo.

All of the features are explained in the GitHub readme, check them out.

If you have any feedback, please reply here, I'd like to know what you think.

(Sorry for the big image, I can't get it to resize properly with bbcode)

  • Bump... or something. I would love to see this and it didn't even get a response from Scirra.

  • Hi, I'm a Construct 2 developer with about 4 years of experience with the program. I'm looking to create a team to make games together, just for fun and experience, and if they are actually good, we could even sell them. Of course if we'd sell them we would share the revenue. I'm pretty much a coder and designer, I can't really draw, so if you can do any art, that's really appreciated. I don't have any particular idea in mind for what we would do, but I really don't like making smartphone games. I'm open to any genre though. I'm currently a student, so I don't have much time, and I don't expect you to dedicate too much time to the projects either.

Check out my website for my (mostly) completed projects:

So if you're interested, please reply to this post, send me a PM here, or just email me:

Please provide a link to at least one of your games / projects, so i have some sort of a reference.

  • A long time ago I saw this video:

in which there's a space demo that used parallax, and I thought it looked amazing. Now I've finally found the resources to make my version of it, which turned out to be not too bad, and a lot more realistic than the cartoon-styled original.

You can check it out here: http://daem-on.ml/games/spacedemo/

As the text says, left click anywhere to show planets.

I know one of the planets is behind a layer of stars which is extremely unrealistic, but it looked really cool so I left it in.

I'm planning on writing a tutorial about this, so if you're interested in how I did it you could read that.

  • I really quickly made this little mouse control prototype, and it works surprisingly well, although the whole point of doing it this way was to not be limited by the screen borders, which this solution definitely is.

  • This is just amazing, I was blown away. Would be great to see it in a game.

I think drawing walls maybe could be done with a bunch of long vertical stripes next to each other that are just thin enough to look acceptable, but if you have too many of them it would cause a large performance drop.

    noun

    1. A phrase or opinion that is overused and betrays a lack of original thought

This is a shoot 'em up game where you have to survive an infinite swarm of zombies as long as you can. Maybe it will have a story later, but for now, this is all it has to offer. The gameplay isn't really innovative in any way, but is fast-paced, and in my opinion, enjoyable. Try it out for yourself:

It might be worth checking the description and controls for the game, especially if you find the UI hard to understand. The game's graphics are minimalistic mainly because I can't draw.

Any feedback is appreciated, please leave a comment or a reply.

  • Just wanted to let anyone who's looking for an alternative know that Chrome's developer tools has this feature (https://developers.google.com/web/tools ... -viewports) and so does Safari (https://developer.apple.com/safari/tools/). Other browsers may have it too, I use only these.
