  • I still don't get it =/ How do I export a zip, or file that cocoon will read?

  • So Im confused, do I have to pay to use coocon?

  • Well I exported it as cardova, tried it in xdk emulator, it was a black screen, also tried it on my tablet. Black screen

  • Try Construct 3

  • Try out the Cocoon.IO. Canvas+ is fast.

    my post got deleted?

I'm not sure how to do this, what do I export as to upload it to cocoon?

  • Cordova gives you the files to use with a third party wrapper.

Doesn't that mean I need to have a website?

Try out the Cocoon.IO. Canvas+ is fast.

    Is this free?

it has upload, what do I export as?

  • used these instructions, or I thought I did, but maybe like I said, maybe I did something wrong.

Edit: ok, I'm dumb, that has nothing to do with exporting, it is a preview.

Would preview be a lot slower than if i exported, and put on my phone correctly?

  • Cordova, then you preview port it to 50000 when on admin mode. and test right in browser of android.

Edit: Actually now that i think about it maybe i did something wrong? because I am previewing it through the port, which has nothing to do with the one i exported. it is just previewing the game the same way I do from construct.

  • Well, I exported it, tried it on my phone, it ran so painfully slow ;_; . I guess this is just going to have to be a webgame, and not an android game T_T. Or do android games run faster when you download from play store, as apposed to just running in browser?

I took out all of the high def backgrounds, and clouds, and it is still painfully slow, even with 55 clouds, and the backgrounds gone it didn't make any difference, still slow

  • ohh ok, so that will be the same as android export? Thanks. I was wondering what in the world that was

  • My export options seemed to have changed, I thought before I had the option to export to android, and play store, now when I go to export, android option is not there. What happened?

  • When I expert my game, expert for android, or adroid store is not there.

  • Sounds like something that would give me a virus, but I will look. I'd like to actually test it on my android to test the actual touch functions.

  • So where would I post it to test the actual touch capabilities on my android?

Is there a way to preview without doing this firewall settings stuff?

  • This is kind of explaining how to do this I guess?

From what I understand I need to download google chrome, and it has a kind of android simulation thing to test it? but I don't have touch screen.

Would I be better off testing it to the web where my android phone, or tablet can use it by some other means?

    Thanks.

  • on the site:

"For example, instead of 1280x720, target the 16:9 aspect ratio. (Just enter any 16:9 resolution for the window size in Project Properties.) "

1280x720 is already a 16:9 aspect ratio, so if 1280:720 is already a proper aspect ratio, do i use that? or how do i enter 16:9 ?

How do i account for phone rotation, and make it 9:16 if someone tilts their phone?
