  • Since today, no more audio files are hearable in the layout preview. Yesterday, all was fine. Is it possible that I adjusted some kind of setting the wrong way or is this an issue of C3? I think there was an update to 182.2 in the meantime. All other sounds of my PC work fine.

  • Great thread!

I had to laugh about your answer on 'What's the hardest part about developing/designing games?'. That's 100% me. As soon as I develop a game to about 60%, I loose interest.

Hang in there and push through, everyone!

  • Didn't know event sheets were unaffected. Well designed!

    Worked perfectly, thanks!

  • Thanks for the quick response.

My project has been converted from C2 to C3, the old sound files were unfortunately not converted to WebM.

Kyatric Is there any chance that C3 might get a feature to convert those files automatically? Manually re-importing the sound files is just not possible, as there are hundreds of them that play at specific times in the game.

I could delete one of the formats as you mentioned, but I'm worried about browser incompatibility.

  • Hi all,

I want to upload my HTML game to a website, but the ZIP file contains too many files. Only 500 files are accepted, I have about 880, most of them are sound files.

Those are present twice: Once as .m4a, once as .ogg. I think this is done as not all browsers support all formats, but I need to reduce the amount of files. Would it be possible to delete all the files of one format without interfering with the game? Which audio format is covered by more browsers?

    Thanks in advance!

Edit: Unfortunately, deleting files out of the ZIP folder disables my game to load. Is there any way to work around this?

  • CreativeMind It hurts my pride in trying to be unique with game ideas but I can see the similarities but it wasn't intended to be + enemies in my game don't shoot out when grabbed. trying to make a game that forces you to be non-violent.

Trying to be non-violent is a cool twist. Maybe you could even negotiate with your enemies once you have taken a hostage?

    > Salman_Shh This GIF shows how to catch an hostage (hope it's the right word), right? This is so cool!

    yep!

No offense, this looks great, but isn't this just the same mechanic as in the recently hyped 'Ape Out'?

  • AllanRSofa_King Haha, I was actually very picky with choosing the perfect fart noises! Didn't get much feedback yet, glad to hear you liked it.

  • Hi Laura,

I hope this is not off-topic, but is there any way to suggest games made with C3 that could be shown on your stream? I think it would be very encouraging for users to see their games recognized and promoted by the C3 team itself.

  • Worked on an intro video, which will look something like this:

You can play Moonicorn's Cookie Quest for free in your Browser here: https://johannes-gross.itch.io/moonicorns-cookie-quest

  • Is this showing correctly?

    Used this command:

  • Shows a black screen until I hover the cursor over it. It then shows several coffee GIFs at once.

  • I'm trying to include a GIF in a post with the GIF button, can't make it work. The GIF is uploaded at giphy. How do I do this correctly?

  • Not only are square roots not shown correctly, but also vector signs and other mathematical symbols. Having no time to learn JS at the moment, I give up at this point and state that an easy option for displaying LaTex style formulas is simply not possible with C3. Thanks to both respondents for their effort though.

  • Two short questions:

    1. I want to center text vertically in the HTMLElement text box. I played around with the 'Inline Style' property, but did not find a satisfying solution so far. Vertical alignment seems to be particularly difficult. Any ideas?

    2. Square roots in LaTex appear beautifully in Fengist's example (using the online MathJax inclusion), but not in el3um4s (using the offline MathJax inclusion). I don't understand why. I might understand the code once I get more used to JS, but I thought I might ask anyway.
