I want the code to be able to take text a user puts into a textbox, send it to a database, and at the same time pull and display a random line of text from that database onto the screen when the user submits his text.
Bump, I really need an answer.
Alright so I had a look at the example here: scirra.com/forum/topic45860_post287339.html
I think I understand how the system works, but how do I send text from a textbox?
I actually just found that. How do I send stuff to a database though?
I want to make a sort of "game" where you send text to a web server/database, and you get something that someone submitted from that database. Does this involve ajax? Is it possible in Construct 2?
I searched for this but I found no answer. Will a basic online movement system ever be possible for Construct 2? Basically just names and seeing other people's movements.

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, thanks!
Yes, but how do I get those tight controls? Whenever I set gravity it just makes it harder to go up.

Suppose I want to make a game like this, how would I do that? I know it has something to do with gravity, but I can't figure it out.
Actually if you leave the mouse over the stars for a second it shows you the exact rating and how many people voted.
I'd love to see the other two!
I could only get four >:
a) The name of the game:
Intergalactic Matter
b) A URL to play the game:
Play
c) Your country of residence:
United States of America

I have no idea what went wrong. The ship doesn't wrap around the screen.
I've also noticed a bug where buttons do not go away when the layout changes.
I removed those, but now big asteroids only spawn 1 medium one instead of 3.
Also, I have no idea how to make them bounce.
