  • Sorry Ash, I can't reproduce the error. The hotspots appeared to have gone to the centre. Maybe it was just a one off thing. I'll keep you posted.

  • This isn't a serious bug or anything, but importing projects made in r74 into r75 doesn't do hotspots correctly. Going into the sprite and redoing the hotspot fixes it though.

  • Could the webstorage plugin be approved for the arcade? Its just the easiest way to do save games.

  • Hey guys.

    Currently, browser shortcuts kind of limit what controls you can use. For instance, right now when you crouch and jump in my game you close the tab, which is a bit annoying. Browsers have sort of claimed all the convenient key combinations to do annoying things. Is there any way for Construct to disable browser shortcuts, or at least prevent the CTRL+W shortcut? Because right now that's the most annoying one for me.

  • Hey guys. I was working on this project:

    And suddenly the platform movement has become very jittery. Undoing the last few actions didn't resolve it, so I'm stumped as to why it's happening. I have the 'animation' sprite set to the position of the actual platformer object, and it is that object that appears to be stuttering in its movement, especially when jumping from side to side. If anyone could look through the events and see what's going on, I'd really appreciate it, because I'm stumped.

  • That's what I was thinking, but it hasn't happened before, and I don't think C2 should be controlling the file when its just being used in a sprite in the layout.

    While editing .png files with Fireworks, with Construct open, and editing images that are in the open project. I'm getting an error when I try and save the file, saying "Could not complete your request. An internal error occurred."

    All the info on the stars is saved to WebStorage when generated, then loaded back from WebStorage. However, when generating stars, I want to check that there aren't too many occupying one spot - i.e. that no stars are, say, closer than 1000px. I can't really think of any way to do this. Any thoughts?

    Just noticed that simulating the Platform pressing Jump event doesn't make the player jump most of the time, when the "Default Controls" is set to "Yes" (thanks Sully).

    Example: W is set to make the player jump.

  • Is there another way to do the whole Fog-Of-War effect? If there is, sure, kill it. Otherwise, that's an option I'd like to have.

  • If you do not generate income from it in any way - and that might include if you receive any ad money on the page it is displayed, I'm not sure - you do not need a license.
