  • Following bug detected with Internet Explorer 9. I do not know how other browsers respond to this error, since I've only tested on Internet Explorer.

    1) Open Internet Explorer with an empty tab or google.com

    1.1) Open Construct2

    2) Open example -> Families.capx

    3) Open example -> Physics - vehicle.capx

    4) Go to layout (Families)

    4.1) Run layout -> working

    4.2) Close tab with preview

    5) Go to layout (Physics)

    5.1) Run layout -> error

    ---------------------------

    Javascript error!

    F?r die Eigenschaft "prototype" kann kein Wert abgerufen werden: Das Objekt ist Null oder undefiniert

    localhost/data.js, line 1

    This is either a bug in Construct 2 or a problem in a third party plugin or behavior - please report it to the developer!

    OK

    If you close all tabs and test it again, the preview of the layout working like a charm. Also if you leave the window (preview) open, the second preview is working.

    I hope everything is understandable <img src="smileys/smiley2.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    I updated my post :-)

    Ashley:

    Please look also in the families example.

    Scythe

    <img src="http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/7472/scytheh.png" border="0" />

    Figther

    <img src="http://img9.imageshack.us/img9/8906/fightere.png" border="0" />

    What's wrong?

  • I also found another error.

    1) Rectangle select only the background (don't touch the image)

    2) Copy

    3) Crash without message

  • Can confirm this bug. I found an example where this problem always occur.

    1) Open Space Blaster demo

    2) Double click on player ship on layout

    3) Start to select the image outside the image

    4) Result:

    <img src="http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/560/selectionbug.png" border="0" />

    5) Crash without message

  • When you see the polygons just right click on the red dot and add a new point <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" /> It's greyed out if you click somewhere else.

  • System: Windows XP SP3

    Video card: ATI Radeon HD 3400

    You forgot to automatically expand a new created subfolder. Everywhere else you expand a new created subfolder.

    That's happening in the animations dialog.

    Befor

    <img src="http://img818.imageshack.us/img818/2030/befor.png" border="0" />

    After

    <img src="http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/466/afterzo.png" border="0" />

    Look at the top left corner the new created subfolder lost his focus and you see that little rectangle.

    How to fix?

    Just auto expand the new subfolder <img src="smileys/smiley20.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • 1) Create new project

    2) Right click on Object types

    2.1) Insert new object

    3) e.g. Button -> Insert

    3.1) Press the Escape key

    4) Right click on button -> Instance variables

    5) Try to add new variables with default value and try to edit it

    6) You have no chance! <img src="smileys/smiley18.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    From time to time I see the value varies for an number type!?

  • Preferences -> Reset dialogs

    That's all :-)

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • 1) Open the 'Ghost Shooter' demo

    2) Run layout

    3) Press in the order (fast):

       3.1) Press 'Down' & release 'Down'

       3.2) Press 'Right' (wait until the acceleration) & shoot

    Sometime it happens that the character runs automatically in the direction you press the keys but I release the keys already!? You can only stop it, if you press the exactly the same keys.

    Difficult to explain, it happen seemingly randomly.

  • I just copy all files but the trick with deleting the key solved this problem. <img src="smileys/smiley42.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Win7 dialog:

    <img src="http://img191.imageshack.us/img191/2363/newprojecthyg.png" border="0" />

    In Windows XP SP3 everthing is normal.

  • 1) Create a project

    2) Create a sprite

    3) Save the project

    4) Now clone the sprite with "Ctrl + left mouse click" and the same time, save the project with "Ctrl + S".
