  • This was pleasant surprise, grapichs are nice and fits perfectly, also I like the idea of hero and the villain working together. Controlling villain, who is not bad guy actually, instead hero was refreshing.

I cant really say anything bad, fun and simple game with solid presentation.

  • EDIT: Kyatric won this race :(

scirra.com/construct2/releases and click release name (version) to open release information page which contains changelog and all that fancy stuff.

About roadmap, I doubt there is one but any "future plans" seems to be at scirra.com/blog, that might give you some sort of clue if you browse older entries.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • Ah, I just started reading about JSON and it could do the trick :) At least in here scirra.com/arcade/example/1539/asteroid-in-less-than-100-events high scores are saved, so looking good.

Thanks for the tip, I was going to ignore that option but you made me look into it better :P

  • In short Im creating inventory system (which is already working, kinda) but I would need that data to remain in-game after browser has been closed.

    Short scenario:

    * each inventory slot is made from 3 different arrays (using 10,3,1 array as in width, height, depth).

    • Pick up item.
    • Compare item name with inventory slots.
    • If item is not found at inventory, save item to first free inventory slot.
    • When hassle is done, vave data to WebStorage and update/load inventory slots via webstorage information.

Any other suggestions? Databae support would be awesome, but I dont really doing &user=name&password=fake type of things, sounds scary to me :P

EDIT: I assume AJAX and POST/GET functions should help me to build simple database support for storing this kind of information (and possible auto save every x minutes).

  • For over 5 years I have wanted to create game, a game that I actually would play but never really managed to find motivation or right tools. Then I moved into creating websites and learning some basic coding (like java while making minecraft plugins), every now and then I managed to make my friend go insane and forced him to try different game engines (GameMaker for example) but we forget and moved into another things.

Few days ago I found this, thought "meh, lets try this then". Well, now Im actually making game that I can call game, not two squares jumping while shooting over borders. I managed to get friend excited and it seems we are finally creating game that we have been planning for years, its long hard road but by the look of this community, there is light end of the tunnel.

So thanks for creating this tool, Im looking forward releasing some sort of alpha build and purchasing personal license once we have all the resources ready.

To the community, keep up the positive attitude! Even tho I dont spam these boards, I read almost every topic and truly enjoy being part of community that actually helps each other and share games.

  • "unlimited bandwidth" does not really exist, do you have any reallistic idea about your monthly average bandwidth usage?

I have been using hostgator.com for past 3-5 years starting from shared to current VPS, I would recommend them unless you are looking for dedicated server.
