  I agree with the idea of game logic being universal...as a user of gamemaker myself for sometime...it helped me understand the concept of Construct 2 and made things much easier..and now that i have played around with it for a while it is much clearer to use than gamemaker...Thanks Scirra Team!!

  When working with backgrounds yes it should be used as a separate layer than sprites, UI, ect...
