    Brilliant ! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • This is really good! The interface looks profeessional and sleek. But i would have used black/grey panels instead of blue.

I did try using black or very dark blue at one stage, but changed back to the lighter blue because some font shades didnt look as good.

    Thanks for your feedback. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    That's what I thought.

How far you're from the full version?

I have a version which is probably 96% 'working' but i keep finding stuff that I think could be improved.

I was hoping for a bit of feedback from anybody who downloaded the Demo.

  • Thanks DravenX, i will Google it. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Try AppPath & "\Music\EpicScale.mp3"

    Jayjay and Urled are correct.

-> XAudio2: Play music AppPath & "Music\EpicScale.mp3" (including the quotes)

    or

-> XAudio2: Play music AppPath & "\Music\EpicScale.mp3" (including the quotes)

I think the first backslash is optional(Urled) and you might need a trigger once event depending on how you trigger it. (i havent used mp3 files myself).

  • Might sound rough although not intended: What hinders you to quickly export two executables and compare their sizes?

Your right my friend. I should have just done that in the first place.

    Results

Cap with 6 list boxes: 1263kb    exe file: 4972kb

Cap with no list boxes: 1237kb    exe file: 4782kb

I am trying to reduce the exe file size, but it I dont think there is much i can do to make it any smaller.

  • I know that when I create an .exe from a .cap, the .exe size depends on what objects and plugins I have used to make the game.

    If the game has 4 Listboxes (254kb each ), does the .exe increase by 254kb or by 1016kb (254 x 4) ?

  • That's really cool, good luck with the development.

Q> How can I add sounds from Beatboxing Techniques list to a line? The list looks like sounds tab above, just mixed, what's the difference?

You can't add sounds from the Techniques list (they are already available to use in the sounds tab)

  • Reminds me of Dance EJay...

    .. good times.

Ive still got a copy of that...love it.

If anybody wants to have a play about with a Demo of the latest version, you can download a copy here:

    Beatbox2

(7.6 meg im afraid due to large amount of sound samples)

This version and is not fully functional, might be a bit buggy and has a couple of things missing:

1, No help (but if you hover the mouse over an object, the tooltip box should explain what it does)

    2, You cant save stuff.

The main difference between the old and new version, is the 'multiline' playbayback.

To illustrate this try the following:

    1, Start the program.

2, Select 'kenny wind 1' in Demo list.

3, Click the 'Multi play' button.

    Work in progress.

  • Anybody make use of the following?

    Anbu Character with Bone behaviour

    Naturo Game

    Controls: (need improving)

    Left right arrows walk

    Up arrow strike

    Shift jump

Textures by me, feel free to use, modify or whatever.

(Ive tried to create a 'toon outline' effect)

  • zenox98 you were spot-on. I got him to update DirectX from the Microsoft site and everything works fine.(nothing to do with Antivirus)

  • I always use THIS free online site for checking files, even though I have Kaspersky, there are times when a second opinion is warranted :)

I really wouldn't recommend playing around with the system files, and besides, most DLLs would need to be unregistered, removed then re-registered (usually). You could introduce massive system instability.

How about creating a System Restore point, update DirectX and check. I can't believe that updating would affect his program - that's the whole point of keeping your system up to date, surely.

I'm using Avast and it doesn't flag up any problems, i know its an issue with Comodo but i think your right about messing with the system files.

I was just trying to get around having to download the DX files Microsofts website.

  • i searched Comodos site and there is a couple of posts about it being flagged up as suspicious?

    False positive? <img src="smileys/smiley5.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
