  • ...and by celebrity, I mean that one of the Destructoid writers finally discovered your 2.5d Zelda game.

    Sooo... okay. Maybe "celebrity" isn't quite the word.

    It's still cool to see a Scirra member get mentioned on a site as well-known as Destructoid. Can we hope that you will release a new demo sometime in the future?

  • Looks like an FPS killer, Davio. Looks amazing as well, though.

    I haven't played it in a while, but I still haven't beaten the first boss.

    Can a playah get a supahbomb?

  • actually, I was just directing you to the original inspiration for the art you posted caspis :

    Thank you for the name of the artist. Disturbing, but fascinating.

  • I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if millions of voices suddenly cried out in frustration and were suddenly silenced.

    ...I fear something terrible is about to happen.

    Heh, this is great news! I'll be practicing my swearing in anticipation of the eventual release.

    What kind of videogame art is that?

    I think Lucid is following the "baddass art in general" proposition.

  • I'm breaking the rules of the thread by posting something non video game related, but I didn't want to start a new thread for just one image. Sooo... how about just; "badass art"?

    This is from the latest chapter of "Berserk";

    Maybe add a condition here if the gun's angle is between a certain range of degrees? That way you would only jump if you're facing down.

    Anyway it's not bad, noob.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble, but that's not L4D fanart, it's a painting by an artist named Jason Chan. He painted it before L4D even came out, for a conceptart.org contest at Last Man Standing.

    Thank you! I had that picture as my wallpaper for the longest time but I never knew who made it.

  • IMO:

    Sprites are s**t

    Usage of windows bars is a bit useless

    Placement of text is useless.

    How is the usage of the windows bars "a bit useless"? Yeah, it would be better if the bars for health started full and gradually reduced as damage is dealt... but they would only be useless if they did nothing at all.

    And how is the placement of the text useless? It could be easier to read but they tell you exactly what each bar represents. It's not like they say "potato" and "lemmings".

  • Cool idea for a puzzle game.

    Are you planning on making more levels, or was this just to test an idea?

  • Pretty fun.

    Why is it that sometimes springs have a set number of times they bounce, and after that you have to jump again to make the bouncing continue? It doesn't always happen...

  • If you run into the wall while pressing up or down alternately you can clip through the wall at this spot.

    <img src="http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/6236/clipping.png">

    You can do the same thing around this area as well (but it seems like you can only do it when the door is still locked).

    That game looks very nice, though. I'm looking forward to seeing what the aliens (I'm just assuming you'll be fighting aliens) will look like.

  • Oh, I see. That was one of the two threads that search found but I didn't know that you could just copy and paste the text to add a new effect.

    Using the "draw circle" effect was kind of a strange decision in your .cap. Wouldn't it have been just as easy to have one frame of the circle sprite a plain circle, and another a circle with a crosshair?

  • It says that I'm missing "AMS_Circle.fx", but a search doesn't seem to find it...

    (I get the same message with .989 and .993)

  • Congratulations, good sir!
