  • Its been a while since I've been around here on the forums. I am just curious if there is anyway I can set my character position between frames.

I want to make somewhat of an overworld setting with buildings. If I go to the building door, I'd like to jump to the layout side said building. But if I exit the building, I would like my character to jump back to the overworld in front of that building.

I am guessing you can do this with global variables or something, but I'm curious to know if anybody has an easier solution

  • Thanks for the replies.

I saw that thread earlier but had assumed that the screensaver option may have been fixed since 2008. Doing it manually is fine but it causes weird issues from control panel.

  • I've been looking around the forums for an answer but I couldn't find any.

I'm trying to export my project as a screen saver. It exports as .exe and crashes if I try to launch it. If I rename it to .scr it does the same thing.

Are screen savers still not supported in the latest release?

  • Hey Intruder, I tried your game out on a Galaxy S Vibrant and I must say, it runs quite well.

The floating text and what not is very slow compared to a PC, but the game play seems fine and the buttons seem responsive

  • Perfect my friend, perfect

    Works like a charm. Thanks

  • I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to create a random level (much like the dungeon creator. That part is easy) but with the ability to have the mouse "snap" to each piece

I'm looking to create somewhat of a level editor, where I can place different blocks down. It doesn't seem too difficult, but the in game snapping idea has me baffled. I'm sure its very simple to do, but the method escapes me
