  • Brilliant! Too easy

    Thankyou so much

  • Is it possible to make a 'trial period' for my applications, so people can download a fully functioning demo that only works for say, 30 days - before they buy the full version?

    Something like MMF has...

    Cheers!

  • I'm developing instruments in Construct, and I need a way to record the audio output of my application - within the application itself

I'd like to be able to use the 'save dialogue' to show where to save the file.

    Any ideas?

  • Hi there scidave,

I'm not really familiar with the workings of python, could you please put this into a .cap?

Also, is it possible to use a 'save dialogue' to select where to save it to, either before or after it has recorded? and if so, how?

  • Try Construct 3

  • ok, so it seems that if I delete the .persist file, then the .caps will load - crisis averted!

But i have to delete the persist files everytime i want to load a .cap - what's up with that?

  • brilliant! thanks

so if I just keep the structure of the py.zip and _ctypes.pyd files in my application this should always work?

  • I've been using Construct for a long time with no problems (0_9996), then suddenly none of my .cap files will open - it shows a progress bar loading the .cap, then nothing happens, Construct just sits there.

The weird thing is, its happenend on my laptop and desktop - maybe some .cap file has corrupted something? I can make new .cap files, but as soon as a close construct and open it again - I can't open the .cap anymore.

And it's not just with my .caps, any other ones I download - which used to work fine - wont load up either.

I have deleted and re-installed Construct several times on both computers

Please help - I will lose a lot of great work if I can't solve this one!

    Cheers

  • Hi there!

Does anyone know if there is a way to drag and drop files from a 'windows explorer' window into a Contruct application?

Basically I want to be able to drag '.wav' files into my application and drop them on particular channels (that are represented by icons).

MMF2 has a function that gets the name of any file dragged and dropped into the application - that is what I need.

    Any ideas?

  • How hard dyou think it would be to write a plugin for VST or MIDI?

    Is it a huge task?

(I'm not a programmer so I don't really know how difficult it would be)

  • Does anyone know if it would be possible to develop an addon for full VST support? So that i could put multiple VST effects on multiple channels, open the VST dialogue and change the settings in realtime

Also wondering if MIDI support is possible? To send and receive MIDI messages. (e.g. use a MIDI keyboard, send messages to other sound apps, etc.)

And finally, does anyone know how to play a sound on one channel, then play another sound on the same channel without cutting off the first?

Construct would be brilliant for audio-visual instrument design if these things were possible

    Cheers!
