  • Hello Everyone,

I really need help getting my "level select" to work.

When you load the game, the Main layout will open and you need to select 1player or 2player. Them the Levels layout will open.

In the Levels layout, there are 2 buttons. The first one loads Map1 and the second loads Map2. For this example I made Map1 and Map2 exactly the same.

Map1 seems to work. It loads Map1 and the timer, debugging, the asteroid etc, looks ok.

What puzzles me is Map2 button. It loads Map2 but nothing seems to be running. I am expecting it would work as Map1 and Map2 are exactly the same. This is the first time I am using multiple event sheets. Im not sure if I understand it very much.

If anyone can shed some light, I will appreciate it very much. Thanks.

Appreciate the feedback Ramones. We are still figuring out that thing about the Red kamikaze attack and AI giving control to player.

As for the keyboard problem, a few has also reported that too. Im using firefox and it works fine. I guess i'll just post a message in the game that "it works better on Chrome" or something like that.

    Again thank you.

We have finally fixed the problem with AI losing control after a successful Kamikaze attack.

    Game Updates:

    • Fixed AI problem of stalling after kamikaze attack
    • Add clock/timer
    • Added APIs for Kongregate to log Wins, Loss, Mission Complete, Fastest Time to defeat the game.
    • Add Turn Indicator, "Green" on Scoreboard brightens up when it is Player's turn.

  • Are you using the latest version of c2, and is the game under 10 mb?

Yes, I'm using the latest c2 version and our game is just around 5-6MB.

  • Did you use some 3rd party plugin ( Unnoficial plugins ) ? The Arcade has some limitations and is very strict on this subject ...

Quite Nice game ! Love it !

    Cheers

I did not use any 3rd party plugin. I used Construct2 straight from the box. I was able to upload my game before. I am trying to upload an updated version. Thanks for liking the game.

  • We have finally uploaded our game to Kongregate:

    kongregate.com/games/baodingball/tirahan-turn-based-strategy-game

For some reason, we can not upload the updated version to the Arcade section.

    Updates:

    • Include simple AI for single player game
    • Touch Controls for tablet and smart phone users
    • Add "Kamikaze" rules to the game system

Hope you can test it out and give us some feedback. Thank you.

  • Also be sure to export the project as "Scirra arcade" and that you are using the latest BETA release (http://www.scirra.com/construct2/releases/r112 at time of writing this post).

Thanks for the reply. I exported to Scirra Arcade using r112 but I am still getting the same error. It can not possibly be the plugins as I did not use any third party plugins. I used Contruct2 straight from the box.

  • Hello,

I tried to upload an updated version of my game, however I encountered an error during the upload:

"Zip contains file extensions not on the whitelist"

I'm not sure what to do. I downloaded and installed the latest version of Construct 2 but I still encounter the same error.

    Please help!

  • there is a counter at the bottom of the screen. it tells exactly how many events. i believe global variables also count as an event.

  • Hi, this is what I am working on. A turn-based battle for 2 players.

Would appreciate very much if you can test-run it and give me some feedback. Here is the link.

  • Hi, Im stumped applying the Touch Control on my game. I need some help, please.

What I want to do accomplish are:

    a. on click/touch > make the sprite active.

    b. on 1-finger touch on empty space > make the active sprite rotate counter-clockwise continuously 1 degree until touch is released or 2-finger touch is made.

    c. on 2-finger touch on empty space > make the active sprite rotate clockwise contnuously 1 degree until touch is release or 1-finger touch is made.

I made several attempts which you can see on my capx but failed to do exactly what I want to accomplish:

    a. Redship > I can make it to rotate counter-clockwise continuously BUT I can not make it to rotate on the opposite direction.

    b. Greenship > I can make it to rotate 1 degree counter-clockwise on each 1 finger touch and clockwise on each 2-finger touch, BUT not continuously which can be very tiring to users.

I hope someone from the forum can shed some light on this. thanks.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • ... but i really do like the simplicity of the game. it is truly a 'casual' type game, that will probably evoke memories in a lot of old coders like me, as well as being a nice game for kids to be introduced to.

ok, i'll stop frothing and ranting now...lol.

    keep working on it.

Now that we have acquired a Construct 2 license, we will continue working on it and hopefully make a very good quality game. Although we plan on adding new features, we will do our best to keep it simple and true to the original pen-and-paper game. Cheers!

  • Uploaded a updated version and is now fix.

  • Version 1.1 is Up! Tirahan is now playable on Scirra Arcade

    scirra.com/arcade/addicting-shooter-games/2099/tirahan-v10

    • New layout design
    • Included Power Bar
    • Incorporate Overheating Rules. Use more than 100% power and risk possible explosion (for fighter ships only)

I hope you will try and enjoy the game. Looking forward to your feedback.
