  • anty21ro thanks for sharing - that's a very good suggestion and it seems like a awesome game.

  • New update, more spice on interaction between player and enemies - added flash to white on hit and minor knockback for each bullet. Also worked on making the camera more dynamic and intuitive. It has a bit more complex leading mechanic now, it dynamically adjusts where the end position of the camera should be based on the distance between the player and the character. The smaller the distance the closer to camera position will be to the mouse and the opposite when the distance is really big it moves more towards the player. Also got basic zooming done which makes it look a lot more cinematic I think. But these all seem to need more tunning - here's a preview.

  • Hey got a new update.. it took a while - I'm still renovating a apartment in the meantime so work is very very slow. So anyway, this is gona be fun - have a look at the new weapons in the game so far i got a Kalashnikov and a handgun working - yay - carnage! <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy">

  • Thanks! Well, so far I have just a endless survival mode planned with global highscores. I would like to add story elements to it that people can unlock as they progress further into the game - i'm not 100% set on how that will work yet tho.

  • el3um4s Thanks bros!

Here's a image of further progress, I've separated the player into different sprites legs / body / head / weapon at

kraed 's suggestion and I'm really happy with the progress. I'm going to do all animations separated like this. You can see the weapon rotating to the mouse position and me switching between with and without weapons. And also the crouch run which is a fun side-effect for the new way of animating:

Also kraed is gonna be working on music for the game! This is gona be fun

  • I just googled black skin in construct 2 and came to this thread. Glad I'm not the only one thinking of this - it would be a major improvement while working at night for me. Sad to hear there's no solution to it so far.

  • I'm playing League of legeds and hearthstone over and over again. I should find some singleplayer games.

  • I like Blue the dash bird. I think it could be made to be really fun on mobile devices, and it looks really easy and intuitive to play with. Best of luck in your development!

  • el3um4s thanks man!

well i think I know what you mean. Have a look at the new animation here:

Kept on working on the attack animation and zombie death animation. I can't really stop working on this until it looks right. So this is the latest version I have so far and I think it's the best out of them all for now.

  • anty21ro HR78 thanks guys! I appreciate it

  • Ok it took a little while since my last update - only cause I'm in the process of moving from my home to a new place.

Here's a gif with a new attack animation with a slight forward step.

Looks a little better than the last one, i think. I'm also considering doing a follow-up attack so you can combo for a quick succession of attacks.

  • Thanks! I've been putting a lot of time in animation and making sure it responds correctly with player input

Here's a quick view of the player attack animation I'm working on:

I've been experimenting with a lot of ways to build te attack animation/mechanic, I decided to go with the fastest possible animation, and I'm also looking into adding a separate attack animation while running so the player doesn't have to stop to attack.

  • Thanks, am working on it now

  • Ok so I've been working on the main game screen.

I've added player animations, more environment details (like fog and falling debris from the sky) and graphics on the background elements. + Dynamic camera that adjusts based on mouse and player position (thanks to this thread: ). So far I'm happy with the way it looks and I'll be moving on to creating the player attack animations & logic next.

    A quick look at it.
