  • You can also use Intel XDK, that provide a signed apk file. Then just upload it to amazon.

  • Hi,

My game have interstitial ads that is shown in a specific moment of the game. But if the device is not connected to the internet the interstitial ads won't show. I would like to make sure that the device is connected to the internet, so it can load and show the interstitial ads. When there is no internet connection the game hangs trying to show the interstital. Is there a way to check if the device is connected? And if the device its not connected, is there a way to skip the interstitital and proceed with the game, without hanging? Thanks!

  • In my opinion, the best way is using intel XDK. Import your C2 project, set the plugins you use, the build settings and images for icons and splash screen. Then build and you're ready to upload the apk to google play. Simple as that.

Intel XDK have one little problem, most of the time the emulator does not reflect the performance of your game, so my tip is to download the apk, install and test it in a real device with the apk that intel builds for your app.

You should be more specific with the kind of problems your having, so someone may be able to help you.

    Regards!

  • Hello,

I've updated intel xdk to release 2807. But i could not add the Admob plugin as usual. I've tried to search for it in the third-party plugins (plugin ID: AdMob), but when it install the plugin, the emulator can not run the game. If i uninstall the plugin the emulator runs it without problem. I don't know if i'm installing the right plugin for this new release of intel XDK. This didn't happen in the previous version...Can you help me with this, please?

  • Thank you aquinn!

    Best regards!

  • As mentioned in Ashley's tutorial (https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/623/ho ... n-appstore), the best way to publish an app on Amazon Store is to submit an app as a Web app. So, it requires a server to host my game.

Is it possible to upload to amazon store using cordova, as in other stores like google play, considering it is for Android devices? Or this is the only way?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi,

As recommended on microsoft dev center, the advertising should follow these standard sizes:

    Windows 10 and Windows 8.1:

    160 x 600

    250 x 250

    300 x 250

    300 x 600

    728 x 90

Windows 10 Mobile, Windows Phone 8.1 and Windows Phone 8:

    300 x 50

    320 x 50

    480 x 80

    640 x 100

According to this, Construct 2 pubcenter plugin does not have options available for mobile devices. So how can we add advertising for mobile?

Microsoft distinguishes advertising for mobile and PC/Tablet, so what if you want to add advertising in a windows 10 universal format (which i suppose includes every windows 10 devices)? The only option is to create one advertising unit for each (mobile and PC/Tablet), and each one of them will give you different ID's, therefore it is not possible to include both of them in pubcenter plugin settings on C2. So what i suppose is that you should have different versions, one for mobile and other for PC/Tablet... but since C2 doesn't have the mobile size option, this is useless.

When uploading a game using windows 10 universal format to windows store there is no such separation...

Well i really don't know what should be done. If some of you have experience with this, can you help me please?

  • HI grigrizljac,

Thanks for the clarifying and sorry for my reply delay.

This is very strange, cause it is supposed to be the same app version, as one apk is for x86 processor architecture and the other for the ARM. It was my first uploaded app, so it is not an update. Both was generated by Intel XDK at the same time after built. The instructions told me to upload both files to google paly for the sake of compatibility with multiples android devices. So, how could the app version be different?

    Best regards!

  • Hi,

I've used intel XDK to build an APK for google play. When i was uploading the arm version, google gives me a message saying that APK version code must be greater than 14 (i'm translating it, so it could be a bit different in english). This didn't happen with the x86 version, which was uploaded first.

Should i have to change it while exporting the project with Construct 2 by using 4.1+ (Jelly Bean), or may i change it on intel XDK => build settings => minimum android API?

In the Construct 2 export panel the only option with [crosswalk] is the first one 4.0+ (Ice Cream Sandwich), so i really don't know what changes should be the right one. May you guys please clarify it to me?

    Thank you!

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Looks pretty nice. Good job!

    I'll vote for it.

  • Hi,

I've been caught in the middle of this mess. There is no more cocoon in export options...why?! Cordova and Intel XDK, beside an outdated tutorial from Ashley, the whole process is a pain in the ... So many issues with sounds and music, emulator working pretty bad. Guys like me needs to read a lot of tutorials just for the sake of a pluggin installation...omg!!! Not that i don't want to read (already did a lot of reading), but is this some kind of trial?

    1) Anyways, could you guys tell to a newbie like me what is the best option for Android and IOS in your experience?

    2) Can i still use cocoon for build? how?

I've already publish my game on Windows store, it was easy with Visual Studio, saiyadjin says that we should use VS for it, but this include IOS? I don't think so.

May you please help me figure this out?

    Thank you very much!!!

  • Thank you! I've replace the files on C2's project folder manually and it works.

    Regards!

  • Hi,

I've followed Ashley's tutorial to publish my game (https://www.scirra.com/tutorials/809/ho ... -crosswalk) but i couldn't make the game run. It is running normally with construct 2, but after exporting to cordova and importing to intel XDK the only file i see bellow the project tab is index.html. The emulator just shows me a black screen. I've tried to run the game directly from the cordova exported folder using the index.html file and it didn't worked as well, same black screen. That is why, i think, it isn't running on the emulator, or to be precise it is running but only shows a black screen.

Other thing source directory is empty. I really don't know if it should be like this, but i have filled all the information (project info [except source directory], build settings, launch icons and splash screen). Only android (crosswalk) is selected on hybrid mobile app build settings and only Chrome on web and packaged app targets.

May anyone help me with that please? I'm using intel XDK 2727.

  • Hi,

I'm trying to figure out how to export a project to Android Studio, so i can make the apk file and publish my game on google play. I've already tried exporting as Cordova but i don't know how import the file to Android Studio. Any tips or info about how to do this? I've already read almost all the tutorials about publishing using C2, but none of them mentioned Android Studio. Is it a good way of setting up my apk file?

  • I'm experiencing some audio issues with Edge. The sounds are playing, but some of them are sounding tottaly different form the original sound files on my project, which not occurs on any other browsers i've tested. Do you guys know if there is some solution for this, maybe to add some wave files to the project manually or mp3? Any help or comments will be greatly appreciatted!

    Thanks in advance.
