  • Hello everyone,

    The longer I use Construct 2 as a game maker, the more things I would love to make with it, outside of games.

    There is a feature that I would LOVE to see added to C2 to give the ability to make apps that aren't just games. (don't get me wrong it makes some EPIC games as-is)

    • The ability to run in the background

    For example, if I wanted to make a simple timer/alarm clock app, it would be super easy with construct 2, except when they leave the app in the background, the alarm/sounds wouldn't play.

    That is the main feature I see missing, but if you guys have any non-game features you would love to see added, comment below and I'll try to keep this post edited.

    PS: Just to make sure nobody misunderstands me, this has NOTHING to do with C2's ability to make games, that it does great.

  • I'm assuming you just need something for quick prototyping demos?

    I would recommend Google Drive... There is a tutorial on it somewhere around here.

    That's an old article, it might need some testing on it, but should work for what you need. (unless drop box has something extra Google drive doesn't)

    I think I'll be able to do it with a IFrame.

    If anyone is interested in a .capx after I get it setup, just ask. (It's not completely setup yet, but will be soon)

    Looking to put news into games/apps, by way of a plugin.

    Price: Negotiable.

    (You can pick between selling me the plugin entirely, or owning the rights yourself and letting me use it)

    How it should work:

    Bring in a RSS feed with a URL, then be able to import it to a news area.

    With easy access to...

    Title, date of release, pictures and links that any of them hold. (the main link would be the title)

    The basic purpose is to have a news area.

    You can use lower end things for low budget projects...
