  what I want to do:

  family: block

  event: ondrop block

  sub-event: block overlapping with block

  action: destroy block (only the block that I'm dropping)

  nothing happens while it works if I do the same thing with 2 different objects not in the same family.

  I was already trying that but it didn't work (block disappeared instead of swapping) so I was looking for an alternative.

  What does it do?

  Do blocks get created?

  How many?

  Where?

  Is the event sheet attached to the layout?

  Are the blocks set to visible?

  Is the animation speed set to 0?

  no blocks are created. yes, the event sheet is attached to the layout and the blocks are set to visible. I tried to set the animation speed to 0 but nothing happened.

  if I want to assign a variable value to only the object of a family I'm currently performing an event how do I do? for example on mouse click on an object I want to assign it a variable value and the other objects of the family have the same variable but I don't want to affect them at the same time.
