  Simple for the square movement by make it moving in x-axis. For other, set circle.X same to square.X, then create individual controller for moving in y direction but don't forget to limit the movement.

  Create an instance or family variable for example 'exclude'. Pick which target to exclude or clear from target list by set 'exclude' variable to true. That way turrets won't aim the excluded instances.

  It is obvious that tiled background image has smaller size compared to window or layout size. If you want to put background wether scaled or not, simply use sprite to put it in. So you can scale or stetch the image to fill the screen. The point to use tiled background is to create repetitive pattern such as block bar which has consisten appearance.

  NO, it just my signature in forum and it is a legal thing to put something commercial or not.

  I already shared source files for some puzzle games like collapse puzzle, crosswords, slide puzzle, bubble shooter, connect puzzle, minesweeper and other stuff and they are available for free.

  Before I can understand how to play minesweeper, I was playing picross and get the idea how number & logic works.

  That would be easy if you increase or decrease the grid size half or twice from previous value. And consider different image size will likely to misaligned sprites.
