  • I agree, it's actually a bit useless since you may have the reference you searched in multiple event sheets, which becomes a fricken nightmare when debugging.

It would be nice if it had a nice search view with every line it appears, in every event sheet, and any objects that might "relate" to the search term.

  • keep track of last line by a global variable UID

  • I know it is possible with Javascript if you could code that as a plugin, but I don't know of any Construct 2 ready samples. Do you just need some links/knowledge on the effects in general on canvas? I know a few sources and can dig them out if required.

  • The issue on the NW.js github is here and has been resolved in many ways and I believe 1 correct way at the bottom (not tested)

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Create a sprite that is just a horizontal line.

Spawn the line from the "source" object

Then set its width to the distance between both objects e.g. distance(source.x, source.y, dest.x, dest.y)

Then set its angle of source object towards the "dest" object

You can see a tutorial for a lazer with the affect here:

    scirra.com

For "untouch" just destroy the line object.

  • If I understand the vague question, then my answer is; you can create an array of UID's and when you loop the array use Select object by UID... but this seems OTT there are other methods, like spawning the object, cloning, using seperate sprites etc...

  • what a game, truly enjoyed playing it. I kept dying where the guy throws the grenade. The breastplate on the cyborg looks a bit odd, i'd say just flatten that area.

  • ah yes, I actually made them orbit the sun and it all worked and everything, but then you can't actually play the game since it's played like C&C 2d (imagine all the planets orbiting the sun in 2d space, and I have to tell Ship A to goto Planet B, which is whizzing around the sun in a 3D manner, on a 2D plane, let me just say, its a fricken nightmare! lol)

I'll update the link now - thanks for pointing that out.

  • Dude no way i just started the game and was totally looking forward to it, and it said "Use Numpad 0 for kick".... I'm on a laptop there is no numpad!!!!

Please fix, I really wanna try this

  • Make 2 tilesheets, one for background and one for collision, apply solid on the one for collision and enable collisions

  • Just a few tips:

Make sure they're all on the same layer

Check the size of the sprites animations, if they're big make smaller.

    Remove any effects

Large pictures can effect CPU do to scaling and redraw times

  • cool

  • try remove: cursor is over enemyUnit
