  • Multiplayer consists of 2 main functions:

    1. chatting with In-Game chat bubbles to choose from (no texting).

    2. tables in host room that can be altered by guest actions. (for example guest wins money> money is added to host room)

No real time, no movement, it's a static game with altering of numbers in tables (saved in hosts phone) and fixed chat.

I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations.

Also if someone is interested in a collaboration, I live in the middle east and there's a nice opportunity here for game success.

I know the culture well so I think I might pull this off.

  • I need the video to play when the splash screen starts (start screen).

So basically player can navigate through the splash screen while the video is playing in the background.

Things like choosing level and settings also can be navigated through while video is playing.

    Is this possible in construct?

  • Is there a way to change resolution based on aspect ratio, since new phones have altering aspect ratios.

    For example

layout is slightly bigger than camera view

and constraining width and hight of camera to width/height of phone screen

  • hi, I suggest you not to go under 320*180 for retro game resolution.

I had tried in the past a resolution like the one you're talking about, and at that resolution even the behaviors are difficult to calibrate and work bad.

    Alright, excellent.

What about slightly higher resolutions like 480x270?

My game will be a "menu rpg" with pixel art. There won't be much (if any) physics in the game.

  • I want to make a retro styles game on Android.

Will this resolution be enough for this kind of art style?

Or should I go with something a bit higher like 320x180?

    Any thoughts?

  • Hey guys, I'm on the fence of subscribing to Construct 3.

I need to know if the engine has these features so I can hop in.

    1. Accessing player's date and time

    2. Accessing players phonebook

    3. Saving game through cloud so player doesn't lose progress when changing phone.
