[suggestion] Inbox alerts

I use google chrome and have never noticed a PM in my inbox unless I have somehow stumbled upon a legacy-styled scirra page where the notification is more obvious (but still not great). I might be missing something, but i have never noticed the presence of a message flag.

Would it be possible for the alert flag to be used to indicate an unread PM?

Old, well known bug. You managed to make at least a third thread of this same issue within a month (see page 2).

PS: It would be nice if mods could make a sticky post of *known* forum bugs. That way we perhaps would not need to repost them every week or two?

Joannak - awesome! They say imitation is the most sincere form of flattery - if only I'd found the other threads first... I agree - I think a sticky of known issues would be great.

In my defence, I don't normally reside this far down the forums in the lower levels...

This forum software just gets to all of our nerves.. Actually I managed to lose my original reply.. So if the text become nasty sounding it was just another Forum.quirk annoying me.

Joannak, no worries - I'm too thick skinned it appears as I didn't take offence! How ironic that the forum quirk acted against you on this thread. It might be self aware...

Tom mentioned (in a comment here) that he's upgrading the forum to phpBB3 soon. Hopefully that will solve all the problems.

Ramones: Thanks.. I do hope that this forum switch goes smoothly. It'll be quite a lot job to more to totally different platform.

This isn't much of a suggestion as it's more praise than anything else... The new "UI" design for the site is awesome! My hat goes to all who had a hand in making the changes... I especially like the new profile page. Just awesome!!! I'm pretty sure the next update will include some sort of way to view games devs have made on their profile page as well. It would great to be able to see these great games made with C2 and have that avatar "face" to go with... I think that may be a suggestion if it isn't already in the works.

I've added a "PM" icon next to the alerts drop down, let me know if this works as expected for you all.

Cos you added the icon, the name is now pushed below it, making the container div overlapping the entire width, rendering the breadcrumb links unclickable.

If you make the css for div.content-wrap wider, and the name next to the indicator icons, could solve it
