Art, Sprites, Music and Source Code for my top down racer.
  • Actually not a bug, but a missing feature. It'd be nice if you've put a 'Credits' section onto the Scirra Arcade.

Well, you can credit all the authors/participants af a particular game in the description, but it'd be nicer to have a separate input/textfield for that.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • Wouldn't it be even better that you do/handle those credits within your game ?

I'm not sure it's something that should be specifically handled by the website.

    Just my opinion though.

Moving the post to the "Arcade" forum, more appropriate place.

  • Definitely. There's 'Author' field in project settings already.

It could be expanded a bit with an option of adding multiple authors. And maybe 2 inputs per each author (name & task ie. graphics/animation/level design/ai/etc).

  • Ha you mean in the project properties ?

Maybe. Not sure it's an absolute requisite though.

Perhaps Ashley will add this to his todo list.

  • It's easy to code your own credits. Add a button or text somewhere with the event on click it will go to another layout. Title it Credits. Then you can do all the fancy pants work there, scrolling text, music, etc.

  • I meant to have it Scirra Arcade site. For example, like so:

  • Newgrounds does this nicely - you can credit individual programmers/artists/sound designers. However I don't really see it as a necessity for the Scirra arcade, just my opinion.
