Wow, impressed by SC2

  • What took me one week in AS3 and Lua, took me ONE hour in SC2!

    damn!

  • feels good bro don't it?

  • I was sold when I made it through that first shooter tutorial in half an hour. Granted, all the artwork was pre-made, but it was just too easy. I'm swamped in functions and events NOW (=P), but it would be wayyyy worse with almost anything else.

    sounds like a testimonial...lol.

  • What would be impossible for me to code in any language, I can do in days now <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

    Using SC2? I already lost 25 kilos!!

  • Oh man, things like "set Array position 0 to sound1" is priceless, stuff like that made me cringe in AS3, I can't believe SC2 ease of use.

  • Maybe it's because of my tendency to be detail-oriented and perfectionistic, but it's taking me much longer. I can get side-tracked from my original task at hand all so I can learn as much as possible about another feature in C2! So what MIGHT have taken me a matter of hours has...er...taken me several weeks. LOL But yes, I'm with you on the praise. C2 just has a way of making development actually ACCESSIBLE to your average gamer.

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • For now I'm sticking to "does it work?", putting the minimum effort into anything, be it a particles effect, or a mini-game, and move on., otherwise I'll end up yak shaving (feature creep).

And yes, SC2 is very accessible, seeing that at the moment I haven't got the need for a programmer, seeing how SC2 has allowed me to advance leaps.

    *thumbs up*

  • is good

  • For a designer it's even easier than Flash?! bravo!

    Holy IndexOf Array Batman!

  • Holy Canvas Paste Object Batman!
