  • Howdy!

I'm new here(obviously), and also new to Construct 2. I'm embarking on quite the quest with a few of my companions to make a game on this engine. I consider the project simple, but looking around here, maybe not so much. I'm going to have various questions as we venture down the road of design, and I know the blueprints of the project in mind are going to have quite a few alterations on account of both limitations of the engine and, on the flip side, advantages I hadn't considered in the rough draft. I'm hoping there is an active community here to support my concerns while roughing up the engine. My biggest upfront concern at this moment is multiplay: in my poking around, I didn't see a whole lot of multiplaying conveniences, and I'm starting to sweat having to limit the simultaneous multiplay to local and hard-coded.

    So give me a heads up! <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Good morning!

Just downloaded the free version and still working out the kinks. I'm looking forward to using this engine.

Years ago I was pretty adept with RPGMaker2k and XP, however I want to move to more commercial use. Since I'm a Windows user, GameSalad was out of the question.

Can't wait to try this out!

  • Hi everyone,

I'm new to the forums having only downloaded the free version of Construct 2 recently.

I've been playing around with it and going through a few tutorials. It looks like a great game making tool.

I hope to release a demo game some time soon.

  • OddConfection - welcome, and congrats for making the 1000th post in this thread :)

  • Joined a while ago but never posted here; just set up a Gravatar account :)

  • At first I didn't realize it but my Gravatar happened to be something I didn't want it to be so i changed it... <img src="smileys/smiley3.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

  • Ashley - thanks for the welcome and yeah, I noticed the thread was on 999 replies before I posted so thought it was a good time to introduce myself :D

It's good to see that the forums are active and that C2 is continuously being improved.

I hope to add to your income soon by purchasing a license after making a few test games with the free version.

  • Hi there. I am a professional web developer/programmer looking to expand my horizons. I figured since I've been playing games for 20+ years, its time to start making some.

    I LOVE this app.

After trying Construct 2 for a couple weeks now, I took the dive and bought standard. Be looking to upgrade to professional in a month or so. Wish me luck!

    My first game

  • HI!

My name is "SparkDad" I once owned a company called Archangel Studios that was about to be published by Strategy First, but our funding evaporated and our game died.

I have always dreamed of making a game and now that I have found Construct I am back at it with my 11 year old!

    See you in the forums!

  • Hello ! here a new one in the community. I am barely doing my first welcome tutorial, So far I have one question. Would it be possible to use Construct 2 to build games kind like Scrabble or Crossword and the hang man. More specific, does construct accepts algorithm logic by coding? Those are the kind of games I am in charge at my company so I am taking a look and construct looks great for html5 games I appreciate any comment regarding my question.
