This is a single chapter about "Decision Science" strategy games from the "Construct Starter Kit Collection" workshop.
  • http://www.lockerz.com/

    Lockerz is a new website where you can recieve prizes that you earn with a special currency, PTZ.

    You earn PTZ for logging in Lockerz, for replying to stupid questions and inviting friends.

    It doesn't look like a scam, many people posted images and videos of their prizes.

    Anyone wants an invite? PM me with your email address.

  • SuperV, well, what about time limited e-mail? (I don't want to share an original e-mail with a new site).

    It's forbidden, but the site is legit, I've seen many images/videos of guys receiving their prizes, etc, and the faq explain how they get money and stuff.

    You can just PM me your email address and I'll invite you.

  • Signed. It looks like social net + some kind of questionnaire.

  • Try Construct 3

    Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

    Try Now Construct 3 users don't see these ads
  • [quote:k566pdl3]Lockerz is the place to go to buy the coolest stuff at the lowest prices, watch exclusive video, discover new music, play the hottest games ... Redeem PTZ at the PTZ Place for incredible prizes, great products and dream experiences ... a Lockerz community of cool, stylish, cutting-edge people who love to buy great brands

    Sounds dubious to me. Sounds like "earn fake money for looking at adverts all day and convincing your friends to do the same". The invented currency is only redeemable with them... so they can give you yet more branding and marketing in return for looking at branding and marketing!

    Clever ploy. I'd stay away personally.

  • Nuh, it's legit. Many people recieved things they bought with PTZ.

    And, on facebook they posted this today

    http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=2 ... 0976158596

    this means more PSPs are coming!

    I need to invite more people so I can get in the Z-List. Anyone else wants an invite?

    Unfortunately, delivery isn't available for non-US users.

  • I'm wondering how a photo of cardboard boxes constitutes proof that they will be sent out to anyone, or that they even contain anything worthwhile, or who these people who have already received things are, and whether or not they are hired to stir up the hype, or why a company feels it necessary to prove their legitimacy by publishing photos of warehouses, or how long they will stay in business...

    Basically, I've seen these types of schemes before and they're never as good as they seem, remember the "free ipod" craze? It's just new ways to make people look at marketing without thinking they're looking at marketing.

    Unless I am over-cynical and everyone's gonna be getting free PSPs for watching YouTube while I sit here and complain

  • The real point about this sites is that you don't lose anything if you try. I've seen many photos of stuff that arrived to other people, and I'm only 30 days away (4 pts per day) to get a PSP. In my opinion it's worth trying.

  • OK, let us know if you get your PSP

    How long do you have to spend earning your 4 points a day? What do you actually do to earn them? Because I can still pay with my time...

  • I don't see how they remain afloat by doing such a scheme. Advertising?

    Lockerz is not a typical social network. I think, that this site is a very nice place for intelligence services. Don't believe in my fantasy (if you think so), just let me explain some details.

    Lockerz:

    • allows you to join your friends by Facebook (somebody will know who you are and who are your friends);
    • allows you to answer simple question. Well, simple? Yeah, for novice in social sciences such questions look very simple and even funny. You can answer without any trouble after that. BUT! Wait a minute! Read question again (remember, owners of Lockerz know who you are by email and by your friends - it's enough for specialists in social discipline).

    Look at this question:

    <img src="http://i35.tinypic.com/121eaer.jpg">

    What does it mean? You without any force will be describing your (future) beloved or his/her characters.

    Next.

    <img src="http://i38.tinypic.com/313397a.jpg">

    Are you going to answer, that allows someone be familiar with your private feelings?

    Next.

    <img src="http://i33.tinypic.com/28858w7.jpg">

    Oh! As simple as that... What is your intentions? Can you describe your plans? Simple, but effective question.

    <img src="http://i37.tinypic.com/vrrcsi.jpg">

    What would you like to buy with your ... (what would you like to have if someone can provide you with this).

    Enough to think about this "simple and funny" questions. Well, I'm not a paranoid who hates something modern and unusual. No. But questions from Lockerz reminded me about Refugee Interview Project (part of Russia Research Center's Project on the Soviet Social System by the Human Resources Research Institute of Air University, USA Air Force, contract 33-(038)-12909) and other projects. It's a part of my work - to analyse activities like this. So I don't believe in entertainment, proposed by Lockerz and that's why I will not answer serious for their questions. But ... it's up to you, you aren't forced to believe in what I think.

  • Those questions read like a psychological examination dressed up in fancy artwork. That seems very weird, especially in return for prizes.

  • my cousin sometimes runs TV competitions, except its not really 'random' - he gets to choose who wins them.
