Google AdSense question

i was just wondering if any of you guys have come across or used 'Google AdSense'

on any of your web sites? and if you have used it , what is your opinion of it?

I signed up for it on two of my youtube sites, and after getting over 40'000 hits,i finally got a cheque/ payment...............for �1.28?

Yeah sounds about right, but it varies depending on your click trough ratio.

Not sure why you would be getting paid for such a low amount tho....

Usually you have to accumulate much more than that.

Anyway I wouldn't plan on getting rich off of it, unless you have a way to get 40k hits... a day.

Google ads works like this:

For every refresh your page gets, it gives you a teeny tiny amount.

However, if people actually CLICK your ads, it's a whole lot more. Now, this is all relatively speaking, since I mean like 60 bucks a month, AT MOST, if you have shittons of people clicking your ads.

We installed it in a forum I moderate a year or two back, and it was largely successful because of our large userbase committed to "helping out"... so much so, in fact, that the AdSense account was suspended and we were left high and dry.

Make sure your hits are page views and not 'hits'.

The other thing i forgot to mention....I had provide 'proof' that the videos(contents) were mine.

This involved taking screenshots of the software i used to create them(In some cases this could be 5 or 6 different graphics and sound programs) and then submit these screenshots with a written explanation as to how each part of the video was produced!

I have stopped making them now....Not worth the hassle.

10 pounds? thats pretty cool, since you need like 100 to get a check ordered.

if you have a site with lots of visits, you can put some nice ads (just not too much)

and get some nice pocket money, even alot of money.

but you have to consider is it worth it to host their ads, and make your site ugly and unprofessional if you cant make 100 pounds for 2 months

make 10 video with cat on it with a length of 2 min
