$35 Tablet

this tablet created quite a controversy because of the rock bottom price and since it was being developed under the Indian govt.

Whatever you may think about this, but if this project is successful it would be a boon for children( and adults) in developing countries where people cannot afford basic computing devices.

Can't go wrong for $35.

Even if it breaks in a week or two, it would still be worth checking out... but I guess it looks sturdy enough.

$35 quote is not for retail... it's subsidized for educational institutions.

yes, the tablet is mainly for schools and universities, it may go retail after that with higher prices. But still i'll be getting it next year since I am a student and I hope google AppInventor apps can run on it.

Yes I posted before it got to that part, but still even for retail it should come in under $150 easy... still worth it considering the next closest price (here anyway) is like $500+.

yeah and since it's android, it means it should be fairly easy (distribution channel-wise) to develop for it.
