What Kind of Company to establish?

A friend and I are planning to make a mobile game and put it on all possible app stores. There's going to be a free and priced version of the game. Since we're both part of this, what kind of mobile game development company do we make? An LLC? General Partnership? We're both confused. For more Information: We both live in the United States and are in the state of Virginia.

There's a lot more details needed to make a decision like this... and honestly, if you're only at the planning phase, I wouldn't worry about it just yet..
