Creating simple assets in Photoshop

As I promised, here's my tutorial on how to create simple "vector looking" assets in Photoshop.

I hope it helps, let me know if you have any doubt. This is my first tutorial, I don't know if it's clear enough.

is imageshack u.s. exclusive? i can't download the tut for some reason. and pyteo's avatar says, 'domain unregistered'.

So true. And when that happens, you get around it by using a proxy. There are 10's of thousands of free one's to hop on (search on Google), so being blocked is really a thing of the past.

harrio: I had the same problem, you just need to make a imageshack account to see the images.

thanks, i logged into my imageshack account, closed that tab and then came back to this thread, and i was able to see the tutorial. weird, but it worked.

Thanks, I do exactly same when making trees, do they teach it in schools or is it like mostly used method. I've learned in from zooming a graphic background from a game... maybe your game? (don't remember the name, but it was point&click adventure).

Could next tut be about colours? I can draw "ok" shapes, but I always choose bad colors and a picture looks better before colouring then after.
