I didn't try out the physics engine until Ashley released .96 and the new update to it, so I messed around a little and made this demo.
"1" selects "Jack"
"2" selects "small rock"
"3" selects "large rock"
Click the left mouse button to spawn objects and watch as they roll and bounce down the platforms. There's really nothing else to it.
A couple of notes...
Yes, I put everything onto one layer. No, I don't know why I did it the hard way. I know how to use multiple layers but I choose not to anyway. So there.
Secondly... I intentionally left in a bug. You can make objects pop out of the ground and at first I was going to fix it, but it's kind of an amusing effect so I decided to leave it in.
Any other flaws that you find are a product of my own ineptitude.
(the "high detail" demo was tested on an Athlon XP 2600 w/ 512mb of ram and a Radeon 9800pro... the lowest I can get the framerate is 52fps when I'm clicking the mouse like mad and waving it around the screen)
ps. both demos use pixel shaders (the low detail only uses it for the cursor) but they should still run if your video card doesn't support them
