Playing without Construct

Hi guys, very new to this, and I am really sorry if this is a stupid question, but is it possible to play my creations in Construct on computers that don't have it (like the exe demo that was on the "learn" section of the site). You know, for showing off my wicked cool games to a friend.

Projects, exported from Construct to an .exe, can be played on other computers (WinXP and newer), as long as they have August 2008 DX9 (this one doesn't come with default package, so your friends may have to download that package specifically).
