  • thanks,

I have another question about construct. it is GPL, but will be construct 2 still GPL or it will be paid?

Checkout the FAQ for Construct 2 off the home page. It is now closed-source.

  • I found that, but to be honest I dont know what it means. It means that games made with scirra cant be sold?

I am also curious if stable version of scirra 2 will still be free

I know what you mean. The licencing model is a minefield - they are still (as far as I know) considering options. It will be something that needs to be paid for, however, or how are the devs able to make money? Its best to assume that you will need a licence for the full version. There are numerous old threads about just this dilemna, which you may want to peruse.

  • I think the best for you would be visioanire: visionaire-studio.net/cms/adventure-game-engine.html

Much better than AGS for several reasons.

It has a free version which doesn't export exe, but the engine is very cheap.

No script necessary, it has an event system similar to construct and it supports 1080p.

    It does paralax, Ags doesn't.

There are already good commercial games made whit it, like "The Whispered World".

  • Try Construct 3

Develop games in your browser. Powerful, performant & highly capable.

  • yes, agree with pyteo, Visionaire it's quite nice actually, and more accesible for beginners than AGS.

  • Thanks for the link, pyteo. Just downloaded and tried the demo game and it is much better than AGS. Looks very easy to use also.

    Thanks <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />
