Adjusting the game screen for different resolutions (Letterbox scale)
  • Can someone please show me how to change the resolution in runtime using the listbox in the resolution cap below.

    Thank you for your time.

  • From one of my projects (a very early revision, but you don't need the game anyway) using rojohound 's method: puzzle.rar

It is a bit more complex but very comfortable for the player. The game starts with a low res start screen where you can access the options to change the resolution, sound or music volume. Only when clicking new game or continue it actually changes to this new resolution, presenting the game.

You have to deal with german text in the start/option screen, I'm afraid. Click on "OPTIONEN" to get to the options screen. In the options screen "?BERNEHMEN" stands for "ok" and "ABBRECHEN" for "cancel".

In the game screen the 'esc' key will exit the game.

    Hope it helps <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle">

  • Thanks for the help Tulamide. I found the resource plugin and the blob test fx but the cap says I'm missing the water fx. Do you know where I can find the water fx file? Thanks again for taking the time to help me.

  • Oh, I'm very sorry! Some extensions aren't needed in that revision and I thought I'd deleted them.

The Water.fx is just a quick hack of Magnify.fx, so just duplicate Magnify.fx and rename it to Water.fx

  • Oh, no problem. Thanks for sharing Tulamide.

  • You're welcome. <img src="smileys/smiley1.gif" border="0" align="middle" />

I know it's a lot of sheets, events and no comments. If you should have any questions, pm me.
