Is there a website...

Where I can get free Textures to use for characters, backgrounds etc..? Or is there a program to make your own? I'm looking for pixel style.

But there's most likely tons better stuff out there, Google is your friend. There is also tons of image editors designed for pixel art, some free, some not, once again, Google is your friend.

Of course, I'm sure many of the pros on this forum can help you better then me!

To make pixels by yourself, you get Graphics Gale, Gimp, Photoshoo or ... Paint. I think there is a thread somewhere about free pixel sprites, you can use the search n the top right of the page, i need to go ^^

Man, I wish I could draw. When I draw stick figures on paper, they come out as fat logs. Try and figure that one out!!!

At work we use cgtextures.com all the time, tons of great textures at various resolutions. there is a download cap, so don't grab huge textures unless you need a detail on them to be high res (I don't see why any indie game would need a 3k x 3k texture lol)
